Disagree, he doesn't want to get involved in the hard graft so what's the point in playing him at prop? Prop may be a better position for him later on in his career as he slows down, matures and hardens up, but he hasn't got it in him at the moment to do the mixing in the middle of the park.

Spot on.
Can't see it being allowed to happen though.

So why was he our top metre maker in the first half of the season when playing prop.

Because regardless of what position he's playing in when the teams under pressure they give the ball to Burgess on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd play the ball.

But that's got nothing at all to with the original point or in fact it could shoot it out of the water even more.

| Its a real shame that Bradford aren't in the play-offs this season because Sammy could do with more experiences of intense games to improve him as a player

How do you know we won't reach the play-offs?

| Its in todays express that Manly want Sam, offering Heath L'estrange (hooker) as part of a deal. Sounds rubbish to me, sam has 2yrs left and L'estrange is off contract.

I really hope it's not true, get rid of one of the biggest prospects in English RL for an Aussie?
L'estrange isn't that good, and certainly not worth a overseas sopt. Although with Newton going I can't help thinking we may be after a third sea eagle, but I hope to god it doesn't involve sam.

| Burgess goes, half the remaining fans go, simple as. I can't see it, ahe obviously is content given he just re-signed for a couple of years. But if we accepted an offer for him then it would blow the claim to be building a champion team based on youth right out of the water.
Of course rumours about top players are hardly unusual, nor are attempts to unsettle them, but I expect Sam to see out his contract with us and, if by then we have gone in the right direction, why wouldn't he want to remain a part of it?

Injuries and consistent game time that he got. Propping aint all about meters gained anyway, his laziness in getting back into the defensive line and the way he seems to drift out from the middle of the park are pretty clear signs that he doesn't want to be putting in the hard graft with the likes of Lynch and Scruton.

TBH i heard this rumour a few weeks ago apparently Menzies has been keeping Des Hasler well informed on Sam.
