The rule for the Kash is dry curries are okay, but the gravy-y curries are generally sloppy n a bit crap.

From my last few visits I'd say everything is a bit crap there - or maybe it's the fact that I'm not always drunk when I make a visit nowadays?

I must say I have never understood the aura around the Kash.

I've had some really great curries in the Kash, but all my best times in there were more than ten years ago. Every relatively recent visit has been disappointing. I've wondered if you have to play the same pick the chef trick as with the International, where the best experiences are to be had on weekday afternoons, but it doesn't seem so anymore.

Had the buffet at Anams last night. Not bad, plenty of choice and you can always watch the fish if you get bored. Burnt a hole in my chair this morning though, phew!

Why is it that some curry's do that and yet others, of identical hotness don't? Perhaps its in the chilli's?
I just always feel as though I have won the lottery if after 8 pints and a vindaloo, I'm fine the next day!

It's absolutely f'in great. And like tigertot said, it's unlike any other curry experience. Just go in, order a few dishes, and enjoy!!

Prashad is pretty good, but it's far more authentic than yer typical curry house and might be an acquired taste for some.

We had potato & corn cake things; samosas (!), both came with a lettuce & cucumber side salad that was fresh & crisp & an incredible coriander dip; a dry potato spiced dish in a wrap with curry sauce & coconut dip; & the outstanding dish - purees filled with potato, chick peas & onions in a tamarind & yoghurt sauce – probably the best individual dish I’ve had in years. We couldn’t eat it all (& I’m a pig), so have got some in my bag for tigercub for tea. As ridlerbull says, just go and order a pile of small dishes, get them all at the same time to share, as they traditionally do in India.
