I didn't deliberately miss anything. You were the one who seemed so aggrieved about the fact that the squad page hadn't been updated and that alternatively someone would have to look up the news article instead. That was my point, was it really such a big deal to have to look somewhere else in the meantime?



An incident that brought the club into disrepute would be an embarrassment. Putting a wrong number up on a screen, not so much. In my opinion anyway.



That one was indeed my mistake, and so I apologise my mistyping it (staff instead of fans). God forbid typos should ever occur. Still, I don't seen how it was an insult, or "a bit of an insult" if were being that fussy, just because somebody made a mistake either at the presentation evening or on the e-mail. Obviously none of us can speak for the players, but as a fan, I wasn't insulted by it in the slightest. It's a mistake, they happen, as I just inadvertently showed

No, people wouldn't know to dig out a news article, and there shouldn't be different squads on different pages, and the squad in the article was different from the squad at the shirt presentations.


It turns out (well, so we think) that the wrong shirts were presented, from 16 onwards. It's silly to pretend that's not at least a little embarrassing, and you know it.

Whoever does the website/media releases obviously needs to double check their articles anyway.

If you look at the announcement of the squad for Dewsbury rlhererl, the article says "First-team regulars......are to be joined by youngsters including Adam O'Brien......". Similarly, there's another story interviewing O'Brien saying he's looking forward to the game.

But if you actually read the 20 names announced for the squad, in the same article I've quoted above, Adam O'Brien's name isn't even there.

I think I'll hang on until the opening game and the squad list should be on the programme......, though, of course, it might or might not be the correct one.

Obrien definitely isn't playing. Seems an decision to publish article on website as if he was.

All very odd really. Far from the end of the world, but it does look a bit amateur, especially the original article that said he was in the squad, but didn't list him (in the very same article).
