Interesting how the actual points deduction confirmation seemed to be delayed until we played Wakey away and now the appeal which originally was to be before Magic w/e is now scheduled for day after Wakey at home!!!! Coincidence or not?

easy to read too much into it, always going to be a battle of the diaries, and if thats what it takes to get an independent panel and the QC of our choice, then so be it. |

Interesting choice of words, "QC of [iour[/i chioce", [my italics].
I'm assuming that, as the ruling body, the RFL set up, and therefore approved of and would have had a veto over the members and terms of reference of the appeal team, rather than 'us', though nothing would ever really surprise me anymore. As I've said before, I hope we get a 'Leveson' and not a 'Hutton' figure but a Hutton type whitewash would be no surprise at all.

That sort of behaviour has gone on down the centuries. In the 17th and 18th centuries it was common for someone to appear in court charged with poaching a rabbit to feed his starving family - only to find the magistrate was the farmer from whose land he took said creature.
I'm sure that nothing even remotely like that would occur in these enlightened times though....   |
