A step up in class today from the teams we have beaten in the last two outings. Need to start well and really get into their faces and get the crowd putting some pressure on the rookie ref. I suspect St Helens will be just a bit too quick for us today but I'll be happy if we continue with the same wholehearted efforts of previous weeks. We're almost at the mid point in the season and we aren't making up any ground on Wakefield and the teams above.

Has FC ever played Kear at FB? I don't think he has, for some unknown reason.
It will be Foster at FB despite him never being a fullback in a million years.

Kear [ihas[/i played full back on at least one occasion for us, and quite a few times before he joined us.

For whatever reason, that I can't fathom, FC prefers Foster at full back, so I guess it will be him there today.

Another possibility is that I believe that Adam Henry has played in the halves before now? Perhaps him and Addy in the halves and leave everyone else in their positions? And at least being at half back won't leave the usual gaping hole at centre thats there whenever Henry plays out there.

What's wrong with Gale? I can't believe we have no scrum half up against Saints. Things just get better and better.

Get into their faces and especially pressure Walsh and we have every change, addey and Gaskell are more than capable of putting in decent kicks, last season addey did extremely well at 7 when he gale gale kept switching. Like we bag gale as crap then when he is missing it's the end of the world make up your minds.
I have every confidence we will pull out all the stops and maybe even a surprise today here hoping.

To be honest I don't think Gale is a huge miss. Even last week, he did ok. Nothing more. Put a few decent kicks in and that's a bout it. He's been pretty poor this season overall. Agree with other comments about Kear at FB. He's a much better FB than Foster, but like other coaches, FC seems fixated on this chiming into the line tactic. First job of a FB is be able to catch a high ball and tackle a man on a break. Kear is better than Foster on both these attributes. Fosters been playing well on wing, keep him there. Yet to see him play well at FB.
