| Quote: Duckman "One thing I'd like to see, which would go some way to pleasing most people maybe as far as kit designs is concerned, is for the RFL to establish a heritage round of games, celebrating the rich history of rugby League, like the NFL do on the thanksgiving weekend games.
Each team picks an old famous kit from its history and wears it only for that weekend as a one off for that years special edition heritage shirt, charities could be sponsored in leiu of old companys where appropriate.
We could do it for the Easter weekend games so every team gets to wear it at home at least once over the two games.
This way the "heritage/traditional" shirt is a valid 3rd shirt for the club to produce each year. The problem will be in numbers to produce, so it might need the design released at the start of the season and shirts to be produced on preorders?
Just a thought, certain to never happen, but it would keep me happy at least if it did!
I like that idea, i believe they do something similar in the NRL too?

| This thread is a bit laughable really.
Kooga is a professional company that design sportswear all the time - basically, they know what they are doing. They aren't going to design shirts that people don't want to buy, as that would be commercial suicide. So we can be sure with whatever they come up with for 2012 will be what they believe, in their professional judgement, will sell the best. That means more money for the club!
If people don't like an individual design, then that's simply a subjective opinion. It doesn't mean anything in the overall commercial reality of what Kooga do

| Quality and class are always understated. For example Bentley Motor Cars, Trickers footwear, Barbour clothing etc. I rest my case.

When we first got Kooga shirts the manufacturing and cloth quality was superb, I can't truthfully say that about the more recent offerings though.

Without wishing to cause offence, it looks and feels cheap and tacky for the masses who probably don't care what they look like.

Well, it's a rugby shirt so I guess no-one is going to turn up for a job interview wearing one. Though you never know........

I couldn't agree more. The designs are a tribute to migraines and they come with absurd neck lines. Even at £10 I didn't give them a second glance.

true but the reduction coincided with a drop in price. I'd guess kooga are manufacturing to a price point we are requesting and the quality of materials reflects that.

That may well be true, but I and others, judge the quality of Kooga products by what they provide. So if Kooga are happy that I tell people face to face or on internet forums that their quality has dropped, then they only have themselves to blame if their reputation takes a knock.

| I'm sure this is EXACTLY the same thread as one I read 12 months ago!
Personally... I don't like the home shirt but did like the away shirt. Hence I bought one. If it had been a different, more traditional design and I liked it I would have bought it. I don't limit myself to whether it'd modern or traditional as I don't really care.
As an alternative what about the kit being whatever the club marketing department/Kooga decide but having a range of traditional based leisurewear? Maybe a decent quality polo shirt with club crest and hoops or a V?
What happened to the talk on this here forum about sourcing someone to produce 'Retro' shirts?
Also... what is with the new branding with 'Bradford Bulls' in the outline of a Bulls head? Are the club thinking of moving away from the original Bulls badge?

| It's also worth pointing out regarding the stats of this year's shirt sales that the original price point for both shirts was cheaper than it has been for quite a few seasons. Maybe by only £5/10 but that makes a big difference to some folk

A lot of clubs in all sports reduced the price of their replica kits last season Liverpool knocked £5 off theirs from the previous years.

| Does anyone have ideas when our new kit is out and who its made by, (hoping its not ISC) the kooga kits seem to have abit more quality than the ISC ones who make nearly all of the kits for the SL teams.
