| Very pleased with the way we played today. Hoping the injuries arnt too bad we get some players back for the trip to Catalans. Was great to be smiling in the middle of all the Hull KR fans that stood on our terrace today. Some very foul mouthed ones supporting them it must be said.

| I'm hoping that Lulia is only a dead leg, still could be a doubt for France though.
Really pleasing response from the team though. Played some good rugby in patches and the defence was much more solid. I think at least two tries were saved from holding the player up on his back over the line.
Olbison was superb, his footwork caused Hull KR all sorts of problems. He has been quietly getting through the hard work all year though. O'Brien impressed me again as well, really hope he gets a few games to really settle into the side. Scruton and Manase were awesome and really laid the platform for the team.
Nice to see Purts get a good stint in, that will have done his confidence a world of good.
Can't help but be impressed with our start, especially given the players we have had missing. Couple of very tough tests coming up next though against Catalans and Leeds.

| Addy, Whitehead, Bateman, Olbison, Donaldson and O' Brien have all come through our academy and all of them look to be cracking players. Murphy too, but he still needs time to mature a little imo.
Was Olbison at prop for some of today's game? Wherever he was, he was immense - something of an unsung hero at the Bulls, just goes about his business without making too much fuss. He's hard working, great in defense and attack and hardly makes any errors/gives away penalties at all.
I was also really impressed with O Brien - he looks quite lively from DH and put some great hits in on Burns. I'd actually be tempted to drop Diskin at times this season and play Adam instead.

| Oh and Omar's curry stall was pretty good, certainly better value than the burgers and hot dogs!

| Always thought we were capable of turning KR over today. We got off to a fantastic start that set us up well for the rest of the game. Very happy with the solid defensive display in the second half. We barely touched the ball in their half from the 40th to the 65th minute and weathered the storm very well. That for me is the difference this year. We targeted Alex Brown down the left side all day. His positioning for each score was poor and he was the weak link in the KR squad.
We were unlucky to get 40 points with Fosters bombed try and the missed conversions. Can't complain though as we still remain in third position. Big game next week against the Dragons. Another big test for this squad.
My only concern is the injuries. Lulia and Donaldson look to be the casualties this week.

| Great performance, especially in the 1st half. Thought Scruton was immense in his first stint and Olbison stood out too. Great stuff. It's a shame we bombed it last week, as we would be 2nd, but hey, who thought we would have been 3rd! Brilliant.

| Thought we did v well today. The attack in the first half was great. HKR made a more of a fight of it in the second half when we couldn't get our hands on the ball.
Thought the forwards did well considering the players missing. I was pleased to see Donaldson looking fully recovered from his head knock at the end. Lulia was struggling though!
Olbison did very well taking the ball up. He made a few good sidesteps and made good ground. O'Briens tackle on Burns was quite something. Good to see Purtell ease back in.
Thought Thaler had a decent game as ref. No real baffling decisions, quite a contrast with Roby!

| Lulia has a dead leg according to the T&A and Donno seemed fine after the match. Hopefully not too long an injury for Lulia, but I guess on the plus side we may have players coming back next week (Blythe, Langley....).
I thought we played well today, great to see Purts and Bateman back. Although Purts was quiet, I thought Bateman had a good game. Tom Olbison deserved man of the match too, great performance from him.

| Was saying to those nearby today, Olbison has come on no end. Great game today, some great footwork and he's really matured as a player. I remember chatting to him at a Bullbuilder event a couple of years ago, when he was hopeful of just getting some first team games under his belt. Said at the time really nice, decent lad, so dead chuffed for him.
Him and Scrutes had pretty good games. Great to see Bateman and especially Purts back. He must have been uplifted by the reaction of the crowd. Was encouraging that we continue to look far better at creating tries than we have done for quite some time, and our defence more solid too. Good all-round team effort, against an admittedly good-in-parts but otherewise disappointing HKR side. Not sure where they'd be without Dobson.
See the sodding injury musical chairs continues. Lulia has to be a serious doubt for France, I suspect? I see above that Donno seemed OK, although Kearney took several knocks and was limping (again) a lot. Worrying. Thought we'd lost Whitehead too at the end, when he made a barnstorming tackle from half way down the field...on the upright post pad. Seemed to be OK though.
The next three weeks are scary though, with Cats away then two away and one home game in 8 days (fekking absolute madness IMO). We need some bodies back, because thge rate we are going with injuries I dread to think who'll be fit to make the trip to London.
But, for now, third still (on points difference) is quite amazing, and a far better place to go into the mad mad period than where probably most people expected us to be right now.

| I think Addy is developing into an excellent and versatile player. When we get Gal back I think e need to give him the Loose Forward position. Great all round team performance today. Well done Lads and especially to Purts, welcome back.
