Anti-Caisley sentiment abundant on Twitter but isn't a *genuine* offer from/headed by him preferable to SLE till November and oblivion after. Or are there alternative owners about?

Surely Caisley would be more circumspect in his dealings if he were to return?

Sadly games are clearly being played. Anyone would surely agree that the SLE bid needed to be very urgently considered and either accepted or rejected yet we have total silence. Every hour that goes by reduces the chance of any bidder being able to salvage something from the wreckage - and thus reduces whatever chance there may be of there even being a serious bidder.

I don't really care what happens now, as in my mind I've already decided that it is too late to save the club in anything like its present form, so it is just posturing (no doubt at the expense of the Bulls' dwindling cashpot).

Potter, of all people, being kept completely in the dark. Another meeting with players reportedly cancelled without notice.

I hope there is something in this bid, but I'm not holding my breath. We do need something quick though, if the coaching staff leave after Friday (which I really would not blame them for) I can't see us completing our fixtures this season, no matter what the rfl wish.

If there isn't another bid bg needs to accept the SLE one, but that only gets us into the close season, where if there isn't a buyer we will be closed down by SLE/RFL in the convienience of the close season.

I think I've posted before with a similar message. I know CC would come with 'baggage' but you have to expect an intelligent bloke (which he undoubtedly is) would learn from his mistakes and gain from the experience. Though it must be said I've been wrong before..

Mick has said it's not Jack Tordoff. Tinfoil says he expects a decision this afternoon.

If he knows who it is then why the secrecy about who it is to the general public?

This is bizarre.

Am I correct in thinking that Blake Solly's comments on the debt mean that the SLE bid would have cleared the debt giving the club the chance to stay in SL if the new buyers covered said debts?

If this offer is now worth more than SLE does this mean the creditors will be paid and the key stumbling block to the keeping the SL license is removed then?

Or, just maybe, once the SLE bid had stymied Caisley, Mr new bidder felt confident enough to come in?

That was my take on the situation. Though the fact the RFL/SLE were prepared to put that cash up front does suggest they [iknew[/i there was another offer in the wings, as they will take a fairly hefty hit if the club remains unsold.

So this might be the same bidder as the SLE had in reserve or it might be another group altogether.

Buyers of bankrupt SL cubs, they're like buses.....
