| You certainly can't knock the effort from the players this year. With everything that has gone on off the field and the ridiculous injuries we're having a pretty decent year. The right hand side is weak defensively but they did show some good quality touches in attack. I thought the pack was the difference today in the 2nd half.. Elima, Langers, Nas and Burgess all made good ground and were difficult to put down. We also made some poor decisions and a couple of woeful kicks but thankfully they weren't costly.
Hard to see anything other than a bit of a pasting by Wigan though. I think their speed of play will kill us and our attack will struggle against their better quality defence. If we keep within 20 points we'll have done well. I got 2 tickets for £16 so I hope they give us something to cheer about though!!

| Mathers was great for the Bulls today, nuff said.
Big Ali's still got it. Was surprised Wakey didn't use him more often as he had a field day against Platt, Gale and Whitehead.
Good to see Sammut back as he gives us a bit more unpredictability in attack.
Great effort from the team considering what's going on behind the scenes. This week is going to be interesting.

| Probably our best away support at odsal in some time.
Lautiti was awesome as usual. Aiton his strong self but ultimately mathers let the team down royally with shocking fb play. One to forget for me this one.

| Thought Mariano (sp?) had a good game for Wakey. Seemed to get through a ton of work. But I might have the wrong player.

| Moriano is a good player. Surprised he's not had more games this year. Looks to have bulked up a touch and still kept the speed.
Hopefully shift a few of the underperformers for next season and we can continue building up to a playoff spot next year.

| The real big news, although I couldn't quite see enough to be certain, is Bateman has lost his ponytail!
Shame the inept ref ruined the match, but the Bulls were really up for it, and all in all a very determined performance.
Gale I thought had a monster game, and was the key to our winning. Some of his kicks, especially in the wind, were awesome. Lulia is a real find, he stands out head and shoulders as the best centre I've seen this season, very calm, few errors, a superb handoff, strong as a bull and decent pace, good tackler.
Also you've got to hand it to Ainscough, he is one trier, the run out of defence that set up the length of the field effort was great. But the man Wakey will be having nightmares about is Elima.

| The cheaper PA system seemed much more feeble than the previous to the point of being muffled at best and almost inaudible at times. And then during half time I was trying to think what was missing and realised on the way home what it was. There weren't any Bullettes.
As for the game itself? Job done by the players in what must be very difficult circumstances. But it could also be said that they are putting themselves in the shop window whilst trying to stay injury free by not tackling much. I'll stay clear of mentioning Mr Hicks!!!
By the way, does anyone know which branch of Cash Converters the old speakers and Bullman's costume has gone to?

| Ainscough was immense today, he looked a real threat in attack.
It was a joy to watch him chasing down Sykes to save a certain try
I think it was a case of job done today, we look shaky in defence but very good in attack

| Man of the Year award goes to the Wakefield player receiving treatment from the physio (Southern?) who attempted to tackle Burgess!!!!
After watching the gutless display by England tonight he proved why RL is the greatest game.

| A lot of fair comments to be honest. We made hard work of it but Wakey are a decent side (there are no really poor sides in SL, imo) so it was good to take the points. No-one had a bad game and there were some real moments of skill from all over the paddock. Issues with defence for sure, but as I say, Wakey are the sort of team who will put points on, especially if Lauititi is on form and whizzing the offloads about.
Let's hope Widnes give Wiggin a tough time tonight, with all those ex-Wigan lads in the team they should be up for it, that's for sure. The big Bull's bandwagon is still rolling along, can anyone see around that blind bend coming up??

| Although i was happy to get the win, i didn't think it was a great performance.
In the first 10-15 minutes, the team showed that they could dominate a team like Wakefield. Forwards were aggressive and the attacking play was slick and creating tries. After the 15 minutes, we seemed to take our foot off the gas and then run out of ideas (again)
Similar to the cas game, where i thought cas were a poor team with 1 good player, i found myself thinking the same of wakefield. Lauatiti was immense. I think i saw more work from him in 1 game than what i saw all last year for Leeds.
Also got to mention L'estrange's 'blind' passes...... When they come off they look good, but yesterday he was throwing some very suspect hospital passes.
I think we need to play much better with our next 3 away games in mind.
Well done to Whitehead yesterday, thought he had a good game considering his personal circumstances and i'm sure his family will be proud!
