| Losing Jeffries to be replaced by Obst or Rooney would be a new low as far as McNamara's recruitment policy goes.

So would losing Newton to be replaced by Obst though.
I once again say. If the rumours of us signing a halfback/hooker from Wakefield are correct, it better be Drew. Otherwise there ain't gonna be a lot of happy folk.

I'd rather have Danny Brough

If he's after silly money, then obviously not. From a pure rugby point of view though, he is still an awesome player and I'd love him in our team.
As far as Brough goes, I don't find him the player that a lot of people make out and would not want to sign him. He would be an improvement on Deacon with the way Deacs has been playing this year, but I would much rather have someone else. There seems to be one very very easy way to stop Brough playing well, and that's to wind him up. Every single game I've seen him get wound up, he then starts kicking out on the full and generally playing crap. Other teams don't seem to capitalise on that nearly enough.

| What is it with Bulls fans wanting to sign veterans well past their best all of a sudden. We've got to get away from this rubbish, it's young mans sport and we've got to be looking to the future. Keep away from Drew for pete sake.

If that was really the case and really that simple, why don’t our opposition do it to him week in week out??? The answer is that it is just a myth!!! Granted he has bad games.......last week he was awful, but still 'won' the game for us with his kick.

When I see a game that he gets wound up in and doesn't end up doing stupid and awful things, I'll think otherwise.
As it happens, every single time I've seen him get miffed (I can remember three incidents just this season, including a game against us), he ends up playing shockingly.
It would also be nice if his mouthing off to the referee got him a card occasionally. He gets away with that far too much ever since he got sent off for it at Huddersfield.

| And a quick additional on Brough. He's a gobsh*te. And I really don't like having to cheer those on if I can help it.

You haven't really answered my question though......why dont opposition players target him every week then if its that simple????

Something I have often wondered myself to be honest. I'm sure it's not really that simple. However the evidence I've seen, especially this year, seems to suggest otherwise. It seems glaringly obvious, so I can't get why other coaches don't at the very least try it.

Whether he's a gobsh*te or not, I couldn't comment, but he's an improvement on either of our current incumbents

Have you never watched him play? He's another out of the mould of Briers. Never stops mouthing off and moaning to the referee. Toys come out of the pram on a regular occasion.
