There's still no movement on the whole appeal. I thought it was supposed to have happened this week?

Appeal was put back to end of month last week. Strangely enough same day whitcut had his rant on twitter.

If they can put it off until the end of the season we'll no longer be in SL, so it can then be left to some sub-committee to sort out. They'll probably then decide to give us all the points back, to be used the next time [if ever we get back in SL - though they'll only be valid up the end of 2015..a bit like those million and a half free texts you get from the phone company which have to be used over the weekend.

You never know. The RFL may have a text vote on how many points we should be deducted. Who'll be laughing then.

Of course, the RFL advising the trio to go for admin is completely within the rules. Membership bye-laws:

If the RFL can advise in this way, and did so to the trio, then it cannot be force majeure of itself, there must be something else outside the rfl and the trios control that f'd up the plan. which was what?

Nobody really has a clue as to the stated grounds of appeal. Other than one-phrase reports about "force majeure", no details have emerged that I have seen. If it was just that, then frankly I have no clue what they mean or how that might work, and so I sort of assume it's not, as surely we would not lodge and pursue an appeal of pure bullcrap, but who knows.

I think, as I once posted before, that much will depend on the terms of reference and conditions of the 'review'.

I'm guessing here, but I expect the RFL commissioned the review so will have drawn up these terms of reference. Whether they are actually bright enough to skew these in their favour is open to question, though we can only assume the will have tried.

Personally, I hope the the RFL's conduct with Omar and with Moore et al [in the gospel according to Ryan W is looked at by the inquiry, though I suspect all that may well be outside the terms of reference.

Well, the appeal seems to be grinding it's way along. I wonder how the club's "root & branch" review is coming along. Not really heard much from the club since Ferres' verbal blast after Easter Monday.

Perhaps they are leaving it to a bit latter in the season by which time we will know which "branch" of the leagues we will have our "roots" in. Either that or someone has lost both the root and the branch during the multiple administrations and ownership wrangles.
