Short turn around now and a tricky away game at Newcastle who ran Sheffield close on Sunday. Can this side build some momentum over the next couple of games and face Halifax again with some confidence? Sounds like Lawrence and Arundel aren't far off, so they would bring some fresh bodies into the side on Friday.

Nice as well that, for the first time in a long time, we had a bit of killer instinct by racking up some points and keeping them nilled in the second half.

Keighley were depleted to be fair but there is potential in this squad. Scored some outstanding tries. We just need someone to unlock that consistency, firstly over 80 minutes, and then game by game. The start was abysmal and we really need to sort those patches out.

We're two wins off second. The more Walker, Patton, Holmes and Lilley gel, the better we'll be. It's up to the squad what we achieve this year. A tricky game up at Newcastle will tell us if this is another false dawn or not.

Great second half display we played the webbed fingers brigade off the park. I wasn’t that confident at half time but we looked really good I thought.

A shaky start for us / an expected fast start for the Cougars targeting Butler at centre and they would have expected us to lose our shape but thankfully this time we stuck to a game plan and proved too much for them. (Although they were depleted)

Forwards carried it strongly in that second half and built the platform for the backs to link up well. As it went on you could see it especially Appo’s try parting the defence. They didn’t want any of him charging on by that point. Blackmore powering over in the corner earlier too and calling the Cougar defence weak too.

No excuses today as we had a strong side out minus Lawrence and Arundel and Keighley had some missing but if we can keep them fit and hit some consistency we can stay in that mix of playoff teams.

Fantastic result and fantastic effort from that fans that actually went.
Just goes to show how far we have fallen from taking a few thousand to previous bash events to a few hundred this time round. Barely filled 2 blocks in the smallest stand in the ground.

I think the majority were put off by York.
The attendance on Saturday was 3700 even less on Sunday
So say around 6-7000 making it the lowest ever. Leeds last year was less than 10000. Blackpool was 14-15000
It needs to go back to Blackpool or be cancelled

All our forwards seem to running the ball in faster and harder in the last two games. Apart from Scurr and Appo who do it every game.

Regardless of if it was a Summer Bash or not, its 300 fans for an away game just over an hour away. It shows where we are as a club, its now a myth that we have a good away following.

Yes I agree with this although I did go and the fans made the most of it but it didn’t feel like a Summer Bash event. More like just another regular away game in which we played Keighley instead of York.

Never been a huge fan of the system with the amount of losses we’ve suffered and the random impact on the league standings depending on who you get to play but if they want it to work it needs to be treated like an event and marketed like one.

To be fair I think a lot of fans who might have been tempted to go were still too traumatised by the humiliation suffered at Cougar Park to ruin their Bank Holiday Weekend. Pity as it would have been a good day out in the end.

500 I think. Looked like 400 in North stand and maybe 100 scattered through the East stand

that north stand only holds 878 and it wasnt anywhere near half full.
