Did anyone see the incident. I listened on the radio and Mick said the linesman gave it, which suggests the ref didn't see it. Fleming carries the ball high and has had a good season. All well and good saying he's an idiot but we needed a bit of size and attitude and he brings that.

Yes the Fleming incident was just plain stupid. To give a penalty away when you are in possession is bad enough but with less than 20 seconds to go in a game you are winning by a point is just criminal.

I thought the DFJ ‘forward’ try looked fine though so maybe a bit hard done by with that but I guess that’s the luck of the draw. Hopefully it evens out and the ref misses a forward pass from us during the playoffs

Let's not forget apart from his brain fart in the last minute also Fleming cost us 2 points with a shoulder charge earlier in the game. I have not heard if he has been sited for the forearm incident.

He's been walking a tightrope all year IMO yes he has some aggression and is a decent enough prop, but seems to lack that composure that we now need in these crucial games.

He could have similarly cost us the game against Fax early in the year. It was a nothing contact with the leg of the kicker, and would have been very harsh, but he gave the referee a decision to be made. Also when he came on against Swinton I was tearing my hair out as his contribution was giving 3 penalties away in a row

Kear has a decision here. I'm sure he will be hurting but it was in explicable what he did and If he just walks straight back in to the 21 man squad (if he's not banned) it doesn't set a good example to the likes of Ho, O'Hanlon etc
