| Usually it is only when someone signs a player midseason or late pre-season that I become suspicious. The obvious one is Wigan & Fielden. I was totally fine with Warrington's cap spend up until December 2010 when Joel Monaghan was signed as Warrington said they had purposely left some cap space spare ( for an Aus internationalist!?!)
I am sure that:
Out from Wire: Anderson & King
In for Wire: Waterhouse & Ratchford
matches up for next year.
It was:
Out from Wire: Vinnie Anderson, Kevin Penny & Ritchie (pay as you play ) Mathers
In for Wire : Hodgson(Man of Steel) and Monaghan (Aus Internationalist) - and Ben Halliwell grr..
last year that I think would need a lot of adjusting of the cap.

I was once actually told what his salary was - by someone who I strongly believe was telling me the truth and did indeed in all likelihood know. I was also told - and it seemed pretty clear from the number I was told anyway - that a considerable proportion of his total package was not in the form of salary. Believe that or not, that is up to you. But I most certainly will not breach confidence and repeat any numbers on here.

| Exactly - Hicks left, Monaghan came in, and ( if you want to believe it ) there was talk of him accepting a lower-than-he-might-command salary for his first year.

| Quote: Asgardian13 "Out from Wiredomthebull was 'told' Solly was one of Bulls' top earners - by whom? Bradford's accountant? If not, it's still only speculation.
One of the issues here with other fans I reckon is that most had come to live with the fact that Leeds, Saints, Bulls ( until recently ) and Wigan were always going to be ahead of most other clubs when it comes to getting the best players and winning the trophies. No-one was accustomed to Wire being in this 'club', and many resent it as they think Wire should be nothing more than an 'also-ran' in perpetuity - as we were from 1986-2009, along with the rest. Hence more suspicion ( or irony as domthebull would have it ) aimed at Wire than at any of the 'traditional' big clubs.'"
Solly was on about 60k when he was at Bradford
Cannot post my source on this wall as it is damaging to myself

its the hicks retirement that raised questions. he had signed a 1 year extension. then when monaghan became available he decided out of goodness of his heart to retire and give up a years guaranteed salary with no job to go to.

| Hicks was paid up a years salary to bugger off, everyone thought this was a breach until someone came on and posted the official RFL guidelines regarding it and it was all above board, no rules broken.

There never was any money. Every penny that was earned was spent on operating the club. We spent the money we earned. Many other clubs - like yours - spent far more than they earned, by spending sugar daddy's money.
Had you not had Moran, you would have folded long ago. Your good fortune, along with all the clubs currently doing well in the competition, was to acquire a wealthy owner. Our misfortune was not to - probably not least because of the crap crap shareholdings split.
Back in the days when you were broke and we were generating decent income, clearly recall the vitriol from some of you guys over how we were able to afford what we did. I guess what goes round comes round.

| Before the live cap, we were always the first club audited as the RFL knew they'd be no problems. We set a fine example of how to run a club.

| Warrington Holdings along with the club operate at a tidy profit. That's what you get when people want to use your stadium for functions and international games, semis and finals. Yeah we have Moran backing us, but he isn't like any other owner, he's a Warrington lad who has done well for himself and runs the club like most loyal fans would but with a few hundred million is his pocket. Still stands on the terraces at every home game.
