Unless I misunderstood the rule change, but from next year half funding with the rest distributed among the other clubs will be part of the penalty for admin

The RFL/SLE are actually considering formalising the (impromptu/made-up) penalty which we were hit with first time around?

The one where if a club has financial difficulties and goes into administration, the penalty will be to take more money from them going forwards....

Are they mad?

The other part of the penalty they need to formalise then is the stepwise loss of props.



1st admin - lose one prop
2nd admin - lose two props etc

I think I previously made an analogy using references to the RFL and chickens with their heads chopped off running around farmyards...

I know the Bulls have been pretty badly run, over quite a few years, but when it comes to being totally stupid and making inappropriate decisions the RFL make our previous managements look paragons of virtue.

Yeah, I absolutely disagree with all this stuff,......... though I'd turn a blind eye if it were Wakefield...

if it is the case it is a dumb decision in a litany of dumb decisions the RFL are making of the past year or so.

Of course, if they do make such a rule change, it doesn't matter, as it will be purely academic since as Wooden Head and others have helpfully pointed out (so it must be true) sanctions are against "the Club", not the new owners.

This "Club", Wooden Top and his fellow woodenheads insist exists somehow independently and outside the old owners and new owners. But it doesn't have a bank account, any [ilegal [/iexistence nor any right to a share of the distribution (which is of course distributed amongst Members, those being the companies which own the businesses and own the Golden Share).

Losing half of nil shouldn't be a problem for most, I shouldn't think.

Without wishing to light any blue colured touch paper, isnt taking the moral high ground with the RFL over financial common sense a bit rich, taking into account at any time in the past the clubs owners (which ever ones) could have said "hang on aminute! this could all go badly wrong, lets rein in our spending, after all we might not be able to afford all this and then where will we be?"
Having a wild uncontrolable horse (of for this metaphor) bull foaming at the mouth intent on getting out of its stable (i know bulls don't live in them, but we're back to the horse bit again, sorry!!) is one thing, but blaming the stable lad (horse again i know) for being trampled under the stable door once its bolted is a tad unfair...i think!
