Its not an excuse just an observation. I did say in an earlier post it is embarrassing.

Our best games have come with BJ and Sammut and I hope we get back to that when Sammut is fit because ATM, Luke Gale just isn't doing it right.'"
I agree with that. Gale is not doing it for me, some nice touches but drifts in and out of the game and his defence is awful.
Jeffries at 7 and Sammut at 6 have been our best combo half backs IMO.

Yeah we don't, but then we will have our first choice 7 on the bench and with Sammut possibly going next year there's no way it's going to happen unfortunately.

| Utterly dreadful. Still in the 8 though. Got a feeling our points difference is going to cost us come the end of the season.

He doesn't have to be our first choice 7 though, just because he wears that shirt. I imagine Potter will be likely to stick with him though. I expect him to play exactly the same with either BJ or Sammut though because his role won't change. Disappointment.

Yeah I'm well aware mate, I wouldn't have him in the team but I'm just saying I can't see it happening when Potter bought him as our first choice 7.
I got called harsh for saying he isn't good enough on here, it appears I'm certainly not the only one thinking it.

| From Sky Sports, Mick Potter had this to say.
[i"I don't want to discredit St Helens because they were outstanding," said Potter.
"We weren't up to it and were unable to withstand the pressure. Saints did not want to give away field position and had an excellent kicking game.
"The guys are disappointed because they know they didn't perform well and need to do better.
"I know the players can do better than they did tonight. We have a fortnight's break but could do with a four-week break to get some of our injured players back."[/i

I don't know where you got that impression from. He split them virtually every time.

Every kick does that with Saints as unless you hit it directly at Paul Wellens, it's several minutes before he'll arrive at the ball.

| On average this year we lose each game by four and a half points. Done well to get to ten games to go with a 50:50 record. Now need to win all our home games and maybe at Huddersfield and/or Leeds to be sure of 8th or better. Big ask.

| Well there wasn't a lot to take away from this game if you're a Bulls fan. We were truly woeful and were never in the contest. Our forwards struggled to make ground and just could not contain the Saints pack.
Potter tried to tighten up a weak right side by moving Whitehead to centre with Ainscough to FB to cover for the loss of Kearney, but it didn't really make any difference.
Quite why Gale opted to kick off or drop out straight to Wellens who probably has the safest hands on the field I'll never know. Still making too many needless errors like not making touch from a penalty and errors early in the tackle count. Almost every penalty we gave away resulted in a try to Saints, we just cannot afford to gift teams such position.
To be fair to this team it is the first time in quite a while where we have been totally outplayed in a SL game. I spoke at the start of the week of my fear that the injuries might eventually catch up with this side.. I think tonight that they finally did. That doesn't really excuse the manner of defeat though and the total lack of anything for the loyal supporters to shout about. I'm struggling to remember a quality Bulls attack all night and we never really looked like scoring.
On the plus side I reckon the Saints will have a decent little stadium there once they finish building it.

Never going to work was it, Whitehead isn't really a strong defender. Would have been better putting Langley there and starting Manase.

Nope, Whitehead is guilty of slipping off tackles and I think he struggles to cope against an agile centre.

| Quote: The Yellow Giraffe "I'd love to know what goes on inside the head of people like you.
Why choose to derail a thread with your boring, predictable negativity?
Surely as a self-acclaimed "SaintsFan" you would want to help promote a positive feel about our club and the new stadium. Instead, you decide to spout this doom and gloom drivel which will only discourage away fans from visiting us. Is that what you are trying to acheive?
You really are a miserable little woman.'"
Hmm. I wonder for those Bulls fans who visited our super dooper new stadium whether they would agree with you or with me after tonight?
For a multimillion pound brand new stadium it was terrible to be there tonight, and my team won.

| I couldnt understand why they missed the sides off? Lol .. Great atmosphere from our fans despite what we were watching, but the rain /wind was everywhere. You would think spending so much money on the stadium, a bit of plastic on the sides would have been money well spent. Needed wellies on queuing for food tonight!. Potential to be a very nice stadium though.
