I think we're lucky as many turned up as they did with the complete lack of anything positive from the team over Easter. The team were poor on Thursday and gave up on Monday so I can't blame any fans for giving up on a cup game when were not going to win the cup and need to produce in league games. Attendance is not mandatory, there has to be something in return for the expense, time and depression.

As it happens the return today was an unexpected win, and well done to the team, but we need more of the same next week.

It was tbf one of those games where you just had to be there. OK, nowhere in the same league as some famous against-all-the-odds wins at Saints or Leeds, but of those who didn't go, I suspect there will be many now cursing that decision. It's another lesson in why to make the effort, because you just never know.

There are 'fans' at all levels of commitment, of course. And, before we forget, 'fans' is actually short for [ifanatics[/i, and therefore wouldn't [iexactly[/i cover the [ioccasional[/i supporter. In modern usage, 'fans' is used as a synonym for 'supporters' or even for the those who just happen to be there on that one single occasion. I don't think it's unfair to suggest that when the Bulls were top of the league, and going to finals every year, they had a lot of supporters [glory fans? of which, a smaller number, were actually true 'fanatics'.

I'd have to say the overwhelming majority of those who have stuck by the club over the last three or four years are definitely [ifull weight[/i 'fanatics'.

I dont think that will do much to bring the floating fans back though by slating them.

I dont go to big games anymore expecting a good game I go just for a surprise if we win, I missed yesterday as I was playing american football but I went to the Easter games, 50% of our opening games due to work and all of last season, does that make me not a real fan?

I get he may have had a brainfart we all have but to slate the very people you need to turn the sinking ship around is very poor form.

It won't make an iota of difference whether I attend any game or not. I accept it is bad form but I put it in the same box as those who say they will not attend future games due to decisions of the RL judiciary.
