Nobody is defending it here, it was a poor comment to make. He's apologised and withdrawn it from twitter. Perhaps some of our fans also have short memories, wasn't he one of the individuals who worked without pay not long ago?

Personally I'd rather concentrate on today's excellent performance on the pitch than a daft tweet.

His daft tweet as you put it has prevented that from happening. Its not the fault of the people talking about it that he didn't engage his brain first.

The only surprise is that it's in his own name.

Stupid comment, coming from someone who purports to be a PR expert really disappointing. Given recent performances and the costs of attending games, what did he expect.

I think we're lucky as many turned up as they did with the complete lack of anything positive from the team over Easter. The team were poor on Thursday and gave up on Monday so I can't blame any fans for giving up on a cup game when were not going to win the cup and need to produce in league games. Attendance is not mandatory, there has to be something in return for the expense, time and depression.

As it happens the return today was an unexpected win, and well done to the team, but we need more of the same next week.

It was tbf one of those games where you just had to be there. OK, nowhere in the same league as some famous against-all-the-odds wins at Saints or Leeds, but of those who didn't go, I suspect there will be many now cursing that decision. It's another lesson in why to make the effort, because you just never know.

As Twitter is the most vacuous invention known to man it's not a surprise that people are inclined to make themselves look stupid on there.

I don't have to justify myself to anyone. Especially to a media manager that gets ed up on JD and runs his mouth off on twitter and a "journalist" that should have done a refresher course in English before disappearing up his own backside.

With every media gaff and amatuerish cock up I wonder why I bother but I drag myself up again and spend more of my hard earned money out of loyalty and guilt alone. This sticks in my throat to be honest.
