Whatever the reason for Wood hanging around his parasitical influence remains on the game and us. Maybe he does hope of working some angle on the ground, even though it seems completely implausible? I can't think of any other reason. His track record as a club owner is abysmal.

The new rumour going around is that he’s looking to liquidated the ckub.

Well if he did that I'm not sure he'd make any money since the "assets" amount to bugger all.

I mean I have zero time for the bloke but whatever his end game is, I doubt it is liquidation.

Why buy the club in the first place?

I don't think the fanbase would react the same now.

At least we can forget all this talk about attacking kicks, dummy runners, offloads and one up rugby and we can get back to the proper talk about TUPEs and admin fees.

On topic and on players, other than Tommy Doyle and Gill I don’t think I’d be crushed by anyone leaving to be fair.

There’s a few I’d prefer to keep, more backs than forwards as I think forwards is where we really struggle.

Unfortunately the lack of money means whoever goes will be replaced with a similar calibre of player unless we have a huge cash injection and can start completing with Fev, Leigh, York, Fax etc on spend. That is where a dedicated set up like Batley comes in to punch above our weight which I think we wanted under kear but it never seemed to happen for us.

I don’t think the squad is as bad as it looks, certainly not promotion pushing but not shipping 50 to Newcastle (no offence to them). Maybe the negativity and attitude that ‘everyone is playing for fun while Fev and Leigh battle for promotion’ has worked its way into the club.

Naturally they can’t tell the fans that though as they need to ticket sale so it’s business as usual and SL here we come….
