They're not providing any solutions, just trotting out the same "hate the rich line" They have said they will increase funding for the NHS, schools, nationalise the railways etc. Brilliant i'm all for that. But as usual their sums don't add up. Their answer to the question of how they will pay for, that is tax the elite. The "elite" and "rich" make up a tiny proportion of the population and wouldn't bring anywhere near enough to fund what they are saying.

My own view would be to bite the bullet and vote for whoever is most likely to beat the Conservatives. In my constituency we have the odious Philip Davies, and Labour are always nowhere near. I would vote Green or Lib Dems if they could somehow collaborate to unseat the slimy Tory Toad. And across the country the same, collaboration across the parties to stop the Jackbooted May from destroying this country.
My only hope lies with the youth. My daughter and her friends are eligible to vote this time for the first time ever, and they are all violently pro-Europe and anti-Tory, so get out there, mobilise, vote and get the Tories out....

This isn’t like a normal general election because the result is already known in my opinion, and it represents a stepping stone to something else. The conservatives will win and with an increased majority. What this election (and the council one before it) is, is one of many adjustments taking place to reflect the civil war caused by the referendum. In itself the election will not serve to change the partisan nature of society in the slightest but I think it is a necessary step.

The LDs will not return to Cleggmania days instantly, but as the unashamedly and only UK wide voice of “the 48%” and the only centre ground in UK politics they will gain seats, and more importantly continue to give a voice to a vast swathe of the population who feel ignored or even vilified (Daily Mail headlines of example).

The election will also help develop a meaningful opposition to fill in the vacuum caused by the present lack of one. On June 9th Corbyn will either resign enabling the Party to pursue a centre-left agenda, or if he refuses, the party formally fractures with MPs choosing to form a centre-left party, or to join with the LDs. Either way, the strength of the moderate political centre will increase, from the level it is at now.

The demographics of EU support suggest that time is on the side of the political liberal or centre ground. I have the perhaps optimistic aspiration that by the time I’m 50 in 10 years time, we will have re-joined the EU. By then some of the silvertops will have buggered off to the little-England in the sky, enabling young people to pursue a less misty-eyed bat crazy agenda.

If I'm still around in 10 years, and we are able to re-join, we can maybe have a sort of bonfire party to celebrate - and burn Nigel Farage instead of Guy Fawkes. If he's dead by then we'll have t make do with an effigy... (JOKE, btw - in case special branch are checking my mails..)

To be totally honest, I have doubts the French, Germans et al would welcome us back. In their position I'd be very cagey and demand a very hefty fee to let us re-join.

Just cancel the bonus £350m per week that the NHS received after Brexit was voted on. Simple.

I hope for 2 things from the election

1. Labour are humiliated so bad that we never see hopeless Corbyn again

2. If Mr Farage stands, he finally becomes an MP.

The man who tried to block an anti domestic violence bill by giving a 90 minute speech. It's ok though, they are no longer the nasty party.

He can be found filibustering when any ethical bill is put forward. An hour long speech to stop schools teaching first aid, 90 minutes to stop carers getting free parking at hospitals.
