If the monthly wage bill is a six figure sum, as reported on back page of T&A, then the only way the club could have kept afloat for so long is if MG or others were putting money in. The club would have run out of cash ages ago if not.

My therapist tells me I support Bradford New Northern Bulls. I've sacked him.

On a serious note, I'm tempted by Toronto if Bulls went under. At least it should be a laugh and I'm trying to weigh up if the wife is stupid enough to agree to me attending a home game, not realising what that actually entails.

Well no Bulls for me would mean I may just stick to Grand finals and internationals if I can be bothered.

That would be it for rl for me. Couldn't bring myself to support anybody else and wouldn't be bothered about internationals if I've not watched it all year. It would all leave a bitter taste. Possibly start watching the NRL.

I've always thought it would be good to attend the pick of matches as a neutral but do you think you'd ever get hooked into supporting another team? I have a bit of a soft spot for Castleford which is not a million miles away from where I live. Would that be wrong if the worst happens?

I was going to try the same tactic with my wife, but I might get a bit more of a favourable response to the odd trip to the sunny med than your trans atlantic attempt!

If the worst happens (and its still just an if) I might just pack in watching RL altogether after 30 years, or I'll attend the odd game as a neutral, the cup finals and GF's I've attended as a neutral have been great, but I cant see myself ever attaching to another club like I follow Bradford, that's not how it works in my head/heart.

Why not go for your home town team....?

When the old Northern expired in November 1963, I was a schoolboy and went to Batley a few times (they had taken my favourite player at the time Coggle). After being to the Mount in the last two seasons and enjoying the atmosphere and quaintness of the ground if the worst were to happen I may go there to get my fix.
