| I'm hopeful that we'll see Bradford Bulls rebuilding from the bottom up next year.
All this thrashing around signing heaps of players with nothing invested in the club has done more harm than good. We need to build a squad with enthusiasm, loyalty and commitment. The 6 U19s moving into the first team will help us do that and the next few years we'll see even more graduating. We just need to be very careful who we bring in to add experience and leadership - previous recruitment has been a total shambles. However if Batley can recruit better than us on less than £200k as a total player budget we can see it is possible.
I think Smith now needs to promote some of the U19s for our remaining games. It's an ideal competition to get them up to speed in preparation for a good pre season and next year.

Pretty much my thinking too. Give all the six coming up as much gametime this year as we can and treat it as a pre-preseason. As much as possible while still putting a balanced team out don't select those who are leaving. May mean we aren't playing our strongest team on paper every week but they'll learn more actually playing in first team and hopefully give us a head start next year.

I believe its three, adding to Keyes, Thomas, Caro and Lovegrove, so you are fast becoming the new Cas with a plethora of former Broncos.

how does all this work with a part time operation? has Marc Green got the £££ to make up the £750k that will appear because of finishing 5th?

If £750K will appear, why would he need to?
Green has always been blunt about the general proposition that he isn't a sugar daddy (although personally I can't see how he hasn't had to put cash in to keep us afloat) so no major shortfalls are seemingly likely to be made up by him.
At the fans forum he did (almost) say we would remain full-time - but I doubt there is anyone who can see any way we can remotely do that in 2017 - unless we have a squad of 20.

| Thing is, our recruitment for next season, even if not yet announced, must be pretty much done by now? And probably by quite a few weeks, so I doubt we have much [if any time to backtrack. MG has stated in the T&A that we would remain full time for next season - though it was before he was hit by the bombshell of losing around £500k by finishing out of the four. He seems a pragmatic sort of bloke though, so I guess he has a worst case contingency. Just as long as the contingency isn't along teh lines of, - Haha only joking, training is now on Tuesday and Thursday nights!

| I am hoping that after a 2 year period of getting up to speed on all things RL, MG now has enough to trust his own instincts and takes less heed of certain experts (maybe Ferres is the expert Gove was talking about). I also believe he'll make good on his promise of full time next year.....
Rohan learnt a lesson yesterday so hopefully with MG working on the running of the club trusting RS to look after the playing side we may start to see the green shoots next year targeting letting the youngsters loose in 2018 when hopefully, this God awful end of year shoot out is consigned to history.
And no I haven't been drinking... yet....

I can only quote what Marc Green said last week and he said that the recruitment for next year is all but finalised.
A few of the players joining us have been mentioned don't here and whilst there is a financial shortfall of £500k in the sky TV central funding monies, if the squad is cut from 40+ to a more manageable 26/28, we should just be ok to ride the wave.
Whatever happens between now and the start of the Championship Shield - some big decisions will have to be made.
The main one being how to market and successfully sell the season tickets to supporters.

| I said some time ago that my only remaining hope for this year is to see a player run out with the number 50 on his back.
If we draft some of these kids up it might happen.

| Not sure if Bulls TV have put out the post match press conference from yesterday, but I asked Rohan about the U19s being fourth in their table and potentially playing some of the lads who are ready in the Championship Shield.
