| Sunday could be a fairly downbeat occasion.

| Brendan - over to you - tell the RFL they have NO chance of an uncoditional bid and do what you have to but put us out of our misery now!! 1967 was my 1st game, can only have missed 3 or 4 games a season since and I'm just p****d off with the whole situation

| Beechwood -- I was at the same game and have always regretted not buying a programme.
Cibaman-- perhaps not downbeat but almost certainly emotional. Let's show the Superleague what they will be missing.
Just a thought-- there should be a public invitation to Mr Wood or Mr Solly to address the FANS at half time. You could even extend that invite to either of the bidders.

| Drove home for an hour thinking about this again - the players and coaches deserve the chance to compete until the end of the year and reach the play offs -go out on a high - hope someone can find a way to make it happen, especially paying the coaches, and have a big party at Headingley when we beat the old enemy!

| Or how about storm the playoffs, win grand final and get booted out. Championship 1 Bradford Phoenix versus Melbourne Storm in world club challenge at Horsfall Stadium.

| Quote: Bulls4 "I dont like the idea of this thread (no offense to the OP) but its just seems as though some have given up and already decided we have gone...
The RFL have given us a lot of help, more than they have helped other teams in the past but they will not spoon feed us and nor should they be expected to! I think both the RFL and us are in a hole but atleast it is the same hole! The RFL are playing tough ball over the conditions because they cant afford to lose any more ground over this whole scenario and any reasonable party with money would be nervous about investing any money into a club if they didnt know what league they would be in after a few months or even if they can adapt the ground to make it self viable so its a stalemate at the moment!
But negotiations are exactly that, and i am hopeful that a common ground will be found very soon! We as fans shouldnt be putting across the vibe off lets just pack it in now and screw the rest... well not IMO!
I can't understand those advocating a 'scorched earth' exit policy. It might give you some perverse pleasure but it will probably guarantee the death of professional RL in Bradford for decades. The players deserve better as well.

Nice thought but unlikely
The Storm won't win the NRL

There were some near misses late 90's when Union went pro, but probably Northern in 63 when there was only 1 league

I'd suggest it's far more clear. The RFL's intransigence, for whatever reason, has all but guaranteed that. IMHO. . . . .

I'm slightly baffled by this line of thought as though any of those involved in a complex process are revelling in any element of the difficulty, RFL included.
In saying that, I would like the RFL to identify how they believe a serious bidder would make any submission based on a tenuous knowledge of how and where the business will be operating. It is a farcically narcissistic expectation on their part. No serious entity would submit two business models based on SL trading vs C1 trading.
Perhaps if they stopped cow towing to the whims of two key SL chairmen (and Hetherington is ironically heavily on our side) our road forward may be a little less full of gravel.

Possibly only a little less than I was when I read the above in connection with what I'd posted . . . . ???? G-B . . . . . . . They (RFL) won't identify that though will they. Nor will they won't move away from the position of "no conditional bids" . . . . .. thereby stuffing any real chance of a success bidder and, IMHO, "guaranteeing the death of professional RL in Bradford"

That was a regional and definitely part time sport, so doesn't meet the conditions!

| Not heard/read the following in a while . . . . mayhaps it's worth mulling it over at this point in time. . . .
"[iLet me tell you something you already know.
The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.
You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get it and keep moving forward.
How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!
Now if you know what you're worth then go out and get what you're worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody!
Cowards do that and that ain't you! You're better than that!
I'm always gonna love you no matter what. No matter what happens. You're my life and you're my blood. You're the best thing in my life. But until you start believing in yourself, ya ain't gonna have a life.
. . . . . and don't forget to visit your mother"[/i
