| Saying that i have been getting the taken out of me ever since lol alot of heavy defeats since then though, i rekon out defence has played out of their skin since we lost by 40 points against wigan out defeats since then have been under 20 which is a marked improvement on last year where we were getting tonked by the teams we have played already.

I've just had a good look through all the posts on the Wire board and not one person says anything even close to 'GET IN.' One poster said they were hapy with the draw but thats it ?

| Quote HLL1969="HLL1969"I said it before re the injuries but we have really upset the rugby Gods haven't we? ........however we have had the pleasure of seeing what this group of players do when their backs are against the wall. Wire won't be thrilled either and you never know, you just never know.
A CC run is exactly what the Club needs and they'll all need beating at some point. I know it's not ideal but imagine what a victory would do? Plus we should have a whole new team by then, or so it will seem.
Glass half full friends!'"
how do you work that one out? next round of cup is in a fortnight. only major player likely to return from injury is gale and it will probably be his first match back. pryce, joseph maybe walker and outside chance of kear maybe but dont think any of them are massive game changers. l'estrange back from suspension and fresh which is a plus. hardly a whole new team though.

| Dunno Kear on wing sounds better than Platt although Platt has played well. Plus Kearney will back in the team. Also puts Purtell back into Centre where he can do damage.

TBH had forgotten about kearney. Ainscough looked so comfortable their yesterday (admittedly against lower class opposition) that we didnt really miss him.

| Ainscough was caught out of position a few times I noticed, against a class oposition he may be punished, wingers should be Ainscough and poss Kear? If not Ainy and Platt wings.

| I wouldn't be too down on your chances.....Yes, we will be a pretty strong favourite with the bookies, but we are nowhere near top form at the moment.
If you get in our faces early on, then you have a good chance.....I wouldn't back against Wire, but similarly, I wouldn't risk too much cash on a Wire win either.

| See Saints get their usualy easy path to the quarters.
Onto our draw, i'm generally excited for this. I think we can have Warrington. Their not playing fluently and they have showed, if we get in their faces, we will rattle them. Get Elima in Westwoods face (What a battle that will be)
We finally have some strike power that Warrington should fear. Bateman, Manuokafoa, Elima, Whitehead, Lulia. I'm massively excited for this and genuinely believe we can win this one.
COYB!

| We are on the up, and our current team spirit and commitment is second to none. Win, lose or draw the Wire lads already know that they are going to be hurting fro a few days after that one, and they won't be relishing us getting stuck into them.
Our appalling luck with Cup draws stopped riling me long ago, but it's not so much that we have been drawn away (we almost always are in the rounds) or against one of the top clubs, it's how many times the other top clubs consistently get a bye. Compared to us.
Anyway, while perhaps there is something to be said for playing nothing but easybeats just to spawn your way to Wembley, the truth is, a stirring Cup journey, battling through adversity, would be infinitely better for us. And we have nothing to lose. Wire will be firm favourites, and there's no pressure on us. Favourites they may be, but if we won it would hardly count as an upset, and they know it.
