| Quote: M@islebugs "I hope you're wrong about Walker in the right centre, especially with Karl outside him. I'd want to see one of Purtell or Lulia in the right centre, preferably with Kear whose looked defensively solid when I've seen him.
I'd start with
Kearney
Kear
Purtell
Lulia
Pryce
Sammut
Gale
Kopczak
Diskin
Scruton
Walker
Langley
Hargreaves
L'estrange
Burgess
Joseph
Donaldson
With Elliot and Elima missing it's time we saw a Bradford side that was physically big enough for a change.'"
What injuries have Elliot + Elima got?

| My 17 after a long think.
Kearney - no brainer.
Ainscough - with Catalan not having any wingers I want to see us outpace them on the outside. We could use Ainscough's pace to target the Catalan weakness.
Purtell - as someone said before high kicks from Gale, this guy can take them for the left side and with Ainy outside him these two could cause real threats to the Catalans right side.
Lulia - again he has a huge frame and can deal with the high kicks from Gale and can cause the Catalans some major problems with his line-running also could be devastating if he releases Kear.
Kear - provides pace on the outside and his catching is quality, I want to see him go up against Greenshield as I think Kear is our best defender we have on the wings. If he gets round Greenshields only Bosc will be able to catch him.
Jeffries - compliments Gale's kicking game with a good solid passing game. Not afraid to take the line on and willing to get his hands dirty in defence. Is suspectable to miss tackles and he will have learnt from last time about breaking the line.
Gale - no brainer, not had a halfback like him since Deacon. Kicking will be important on the 5th Feb. His kicking game could win or lose us the game. Needs to spread the ball to Jeffries and needs to kick to Lulia and Purtell. His objective should be to pepper the Catalan defence with well placed kicks.
Kopczak - if he keeps his Four Nations form then he will be more than a match for the likes of Paea and Fakir. Needs to make the metres he made last year.
L'Estrange - chances are he will be captain. Want to see him get out of dummy half and cause problems for the defence. Reason he starts is because he sets the tone then Diskin comes on when defence is tired and runs at markers to get us penalties. Probably one of the best tackles in the Bulls squad and can neaturilize if not better Henderson.
Hargreaves - I'd start with Hargreaves because he isn't an impact prop and seems to have become more mobile in the off season. Want to see him do a bit more damage than last year.
Langley - as someone mentioned before with Whitehead and Elima out we need some size. Who better than the big man himself? Langers could tear holes in the Catalan defence especially as a wide running second rower.
Bateman - I'd throw him in the deep end. Did extremely well last season when he played and will only improve with gametime. He dealt with Catalan fine last year and he has bulked up big time this season.
Donaldson - looked like the old Donaldson at Dewsbury game, if he continues this he must be played. Showed against Warrington (QF 2010) that he could be the man to change a game. When he went off it ended for us. Excellent defender too.
Diskin - see L'Estrange for why he's on bench.
Scruton - provides impact and will hopefully 'bang' the tired pack when he comes on.
Burgess - the size is there. And he is difficult to put down. Would cause huge problems to a tiring pack.
Sammut - when he comes on he will run at the massive pack. If your a big person would you want a little sh*t running at you when your knackered? Provides the unexpected too.

Probably agree with that apart from I'd have Sibbit in at 12, with Bateman on the bench. Think starting with Bateman and Donno might be a risk against Cats pack.

| True but Sibbit seems to have regain his old form of giving penalties away and with Pryce, Menzies, Dereau and Bosc pulling the string then we simply cannot afford to have him on the pitch.
Pluse Bateman and Donna are more agile especially when their defence is a bit tired.

| Scrutons got a bit to do before back to full match sharpness, whereas Joseph seems to be there right now, so subject to the Hull/Keighley game Joseph may be the better choice for the Cats game

| Yes slot Walker in if Kear isnt fit. And true but I rekon Scruts will be fine after Hull game. Other than that yes bang Joseph in.

Not happening unless we can ship anyone out.

So Joseph must have agreed to a trial knowing that we might not take him, but was confident enough that he would attract another teams attention. His trial was announced well after Platt and Sykes being made available, Southernwood going on loan and Crossley moving, not before.

| Duffy mentioned to Joseph about hopefully earning a deal the club when interviewing him on stage tonight. I doubt he would have done that if we didn't have space to accommodate him.
