That has got to be the best result for about 3 or 4 years for multiple reasons:

1. The comeback, looked dead and buried. Although from looking at the flags and the second half there was a headwind (didn't feel it on the terrace though)

2. The arrogance shown by the cherry&white.net yoof team

3. The team effort in the second half (although a couple of selections need reviewing)

At 18.15 I was still on the train back from London fully suited up. Took the option of going to the match in Suit, overcoat but switched to the more comfortable trainers. Maccbull you would have loved this look! It said style, panache and practicality (for the walk back down Manchester road to my car). Thought it was going to be a TV job, got that to come this morning!

Looking forward to the second half but also reviewing some of the dodgy decisions

Even better than Fax in 97. Last night the scene couldn't have been set better. At half time I bet there weren't many who could've predicted that second half. And it's all the sweeter considering all the bragging from the Wigan kids on here this week.

The atmosphere was the best it's been for years in the 2nd half. I was jumping around like a lunatic when Hall plunged over. It's been a while since I did that!

Oooh, Mystic Eddie, do you really want to go down that path? REALLY?

Shall we inform the people WHY you and Nicey banned me?

I don't see what harm it can do, after all, it was 4 years ago. The reason for banning me was because I said something about the state of the moderation on Bullrage... on a COMPLETELY UNRELATED FORUM totally separate from Bullrage itself. Which, may I point out, was not against the rules of Bullrage. HOWEVER, there were strict rules from day 1 regarding profanity, abuse and bullying, which you broke time and time again, but when I pointed this out, I was accused of being publically critical of the moderation process. Well, frankly it deserved it. The fact was, you didn't like the fact that I didn't back down like the rest of the "plebs" as you and Nicey dubbed them so eloquently in the Super-Secret Hidden Moderator Willy-Waving Area.

Banning me was largely pointless, t'was the work of a moment to activate the Super Power User account, set up several accounts for myself, and save out the ENTIRE CONTENTS of the moderator forum. You guys certainly had it in for anyone from Wigan, especially me and Wigan Pie Man.

One of my favourite moments is where you thought it would be largely amusing to copy and paste my (old outdated) AOL profile and laugh about how I used to work at KFC, as if this was some sort of "victory" over me. Another moment was the instant knee-jerk reactions to every new member, "Is it Fishsta?" No, most of them weren't, I'd set up so many sleeper accounts, I could carry on posting as normal, funny how no-one ever said those posts were biased, strange the effect having my name against them had on you!

And then, the AIM conversation we had, where you claimed you had no axe to grind with me, but back in the comfort of your Super Secret Hidden Moderator Love-up zone, you commenced the abuse again.

The funniest part is how it all started... I wonder if you remember?

You posted, in French, "Wigan are s**t" after Catalans beat us. Straight away, a violation of rule 1. In accordance with instruction from Nicey, I reported your post, only to be told that you hadn't broken rule 1 because you'd translated "Wigan are crap". I pointed out that ANYONE who knows French knows what "merde" means, and if you re-translate "Wigan sont le merde" back into English, you get "s**t". I pointed this out very nicely, by the way, without abuse. This netted me the first of several warnings. Call that decent moderation?

It got even better when the Private Message system was revealed not to be private, and also interesting was the number of sleeper accounts Nicey had (Elgerbelly for instance).

A good moderator should lead by example. If rules are set, don't break them yourself, and then ban anyone who tells you you're being a bit of an idiot. Oh, and not being an abusive liar would have helped too.

And yes, I've done my share of moderation, and I know the importance of putting the interests of the forum ahead of your own personal vendettas. Hence why I banned myself from one forum, because I couldn't trust myself to say things that would have been largely unpleasant for all concerned.

I sincerely doubt you would have the decency to admit you were in the wrong. Numbers (Paul) did when he made an error, and he cut himself up about it and removed himself from the moderation process (except when I contacted him via a secret account to urge him to return to moderation duties, then he made the mistake of not accepting a genuine gesture of goodwill)

Frankly, Mystic Eddie, your true colours always shine through. And despite the fact your first post on here was fairly good until you decided to take me on again for some unknown reason (I guess the fact I was always one step ahead of you must still really hurt), you have shown yourself to be nothing more than a tragic childish waste of oxygen.

As we say in Wigan, stop thi' breathin', ah can smell t'sheet from 'ere.

Incidentally, does Bradford hold the record for most matches won or lost in the last minute?

I can't think of many other teams that have experienced ALL of Wide to West, 20-19 at the JJB, 31-30 in the playoffs, Millennium Tragic, that other Wigan-Bradford match where Withers won it at the death (think that was an early round SL match, if I remember rightly?).

Doesn't Bradford co-incidentally have the highest heart-attack rate in the country?

I don't know, but i do know that Wigan hold the record for the most number of deluded supporters who harp on about past glories while their team continuously flatters to deceive. Does that help?

Not really.

As you can probably tell, I'm not one of them. Do you hold the record for most grammatical errors in the first ten words of a sentence?
