What was Macnamara's game plan today?
Have the players done any work on defence in the last week?

I'm not sure how anyone can defend Mac after that. I can see already exactly how this season is going to go unless something changes. And before anyone says anything....no I don't have a solution. But it is becoming more and more apparent that it is not Macnamara.

The Hood, Duffy, Mcnamara combination seems far too cosy for my liking. I sit here totally amazed that Steve is still the coach of this club. Im convinced a better coach could achieve better results with this same squad.

I've said it for a while that I think Macca talks a very good game but just cant seem to coach his players well enough to be able to play consistently well. He may be able to coach them to the odd win over Saints/Leeds/Wigan etc but that's not good enough. We need to find some consistency and I just dont think Macca is the coachto drill that into these players.

Okay, been festering on this for the last couple of hours.

1) We were way too flat in attack, why were all the players bunched up or in a straight line? There was no structure, and it was becoming painstaking to watch the utter uselessness of it all.

2) Orford appeared to turn into Iestyn Harris during the game. There were passes flying everywhere, and one of them caused Eastmond to go the length of the field.

3) Will somebody please tell the players that when defending, if they got to the ball and stopped the offload, things would go a lot better for them.

4) Is there some kind of back room drama going on?

4) If I win the lottery ever, I'm going to buy the club. Stability is needed.

People will say "[iwhat are the alternatives?"[/i but i think it's fast getting to the point where we could employ Bubbles the chimp with Coco the Clown as his assistant, and they'd get the squad more motivated!

Even if it's someone on a short-term basis while the board looks for a long-term solution, anyone, just anyone, has to be a better bet than what we currently have.

Your first: buggered if I know, cos the team didn't seem to. Whether that was down to him or the players...only they and others close to it will know?

The game against a Cas side, performing much better than their doubters expected, appears to be taking on considerable importance. Another shambles like today...don;t even want to think about it

That said, we are not totally alone in being the laughing stock of the bloody competition (again) - our near-neighbours must be eternally grateful to us for taking the heat away from them a bit!
