Last time the club was sold, the RFL had input regarding the buyer as it was claimed they could approve or deny our SL franchise depending on who it was.
Does the RFL have any input this time around? Do they have a fit & proper person rule to apply? Do they have any right to see proof of funds?

If it IS who I've heard coming in, then I'm quite excited. They are a bit marmite, but in my opinion a really decent person and someone I would trust.

By not "suiting everyone", they clearly mean that it could be anyone, since there is actually no-one who could completely suit 'everyone'. So by definition, we obviously need no-one - then everyone's happy!

I think that the rumours Mick Gledhill keeps referring to were started by Mick himself. While Marc Green was trying to find funds to pay players wages Mick said on his BCB forum that he and Ross had been speaking to somebody all week about the possibility of that person investing in the club. Just before the radio programme began the mystery investor requested to remain nameless.

Then last week on twitter somebody asked Mick if he had heard anymore on the sale of the club. He replied by saying that nothing was imminent as Koukash was on holiday. "Accidental" slip?

The only rumours I have heard regarding the sale of the Bulls have come from Mick himself. Whether there is any substance to it remains to be seen.

If anybody has heard any other names then please feel free to correct me.

I see it that way too Sensei. Most of the rumours I've heard have come via the same source. That's not to say there's nothing in them. I don't know.

Well the person I've heard is very much left-field. A very credible source has told me that it is Hugh Cook, the last Abbot of Reading Abbey who died in 1539.

Come on Roger! A rumour isn't any fun if it doesn't run for a while and have a bit of mystery about it.

For what it's worth, given the general lack of interest shown by the money classes so far, I'd guess any 'new owner', [if indeed there is to be a new owner is going to be one of the names on the previous lists from the last two or three years. ATEOTD I support the club. so whoever it is [or remains as long as the club keeps running it'll be OK by me - not that I have any say in any of it anyway..

Somebody told me the mystery man is John Rockefeller. I've never heard of him but apparently he's worth a few bob.

I think they did have, but the contents of the old Anglo Saxon pot it was found in have been declared treasure trove and we can't touch it!

I thought he was a rhinos fan?
