Very surprised with JP's reaction which lead to his yellow.'"
Bailey is Bailey and he'll never change.
I've got lot's of time and respect for JP,though. His problem is the usual one for a bloke who used to do anything but finds the legs, and stamina, just aren't what they were. He becomes frustrated and lashes out or arrives a quarter of a second too late for a tackle and catches someone where he shouldn't. Doesn't detract from the fact he's been a great player though.

| If there's a prize for the strangest viewpoint on the thread, then so far the guy who said Leeds' goalline defence was "shocking" must be in the running. A magnificent part of the game was us camped in their half trying to demolish it, and them refusing to give. One of the best spells of defence I've ever seen.

| If their goal line defence was shocking then quite how that was the game it was entirely escapes me.

| I loved Cummins emotion/reaction at the end when Sidlow went over.
All in all an excellent game and advert for rugby league. When Bailey went looking for a fight I noticed Bateman go looking for him haha. The John wound up Peacock at the end which was a match drawing play as Sinfield knocked the 1 point over

Every forward on the pitch ran in. Why do you pick out Bailey?
Other than one everyday penalty for getting a tackle a bit high on a falling man, far from "losing the plot" Bailey did absolutely nothing ill-disciplined all night, and yet the message boards are Bailey this and Bailey that.
Anyway. Good, entertaining game. Glad we've got our derby back - about time.

| Bailey's handshake with the ref' had me in hysterics. I don't know if it was genuine, sarcastic or what but it was funny all the same.

It seemed the Cameraman, commentary team, even Ryan Hall were all on edge waiting for something to happen, Bentham seemed to be trying to run away and all Bailey does is stick out his hand with a massive grin on his face. It did bring a smile to mine too.

Definitely, I think Delaney was the one who instigated that bit of handbags but everybody points out Bailey who did what most of the Leeds and Bradford lads did and just went running over.
Bateman had an outstanding game I thought. It was a very physical game and he never took a backwards step, plus getting under Peacock's skin is something that not many are able to do and is what arguably got us the point. Was also impressed with his tweet after the game saying he was disappointed we didn't win, that's the mentality of a top class athlete IMO, disappointed with anything less than perfection.

Someone on Twitter has highlighted that Bateman blew Peacock a kiss after he was penalised for the push before Sinfield's drop goal. Cheeky.

No I think you are wrong. The strangest view point is on the bulls game threat on our (rhinos) wall. The one who claims Bateman is rubbish and over rated should be at championship level before being let go into the ametur ranks. That is a far more stupid view point.
Regarding the game it was a good atmosphere and enjoyed the game. ( first time I have managed to convince someone to baby sit the twins!) agree with the above I thought we did well in defence when you were piling on the pressure in the second. The peacock sin bin I cannot really comment as I haven't seen the replay of the game and didn't see what he did.
Regarding the booing of the ref, if the roles had been reversed there would have been booing. In the heat of the game it is easy to want to blame the ref and there would have been booing at any ground.
Anyway I enjoyed the game, you deserved the point and I look forward
To the visit to odsal.

Agree with all the above from Ferdy. A balanced viewpoint with no knee jerking. Bring on the Odsal derby...if it's half as good, the game will be a classic

| I actually think the week off for Leeds had a detrimental effect on our performance, and we looked a little rusty and off the pace despite scoring early. We really struggled in defence for the first half an hour and it took as a while to adjust to the pace of the game. Some of the credit has to go to Bradford obviously but, the difference in Leeds' line speed and technique in defence in the 2nd half compared to the first was miles better and was more reminiscent to how its been most of the season so I'm not convinced Bradford would've won had we played Wakey.

| Yeah, I guess the Short Turn Round V the Long Break is always a double edged sword - and can cut both ways.
