| You will actually find we built up plenty of reserves in our time of winning. Most moved on because we had an excellent core pf players who were at the time the best in the world proven on 3 separate occasions.
In the 2003/2004/2005 seasons for example:
Leon Pryce
Paul Deacon (played with us since 16 years old)
Jamie Peacock
Stuart Reardon
Rob Parker
Stuart Fielden
Jamie Langley
Karl Pryce
Chris Bridge
Aaron Smith
Richard Moore (made his professional debut)
Matt Cook
Brett Ferres
Ryan Atkins
How many of them are/were big time players? How many are still playing Super League? How many have made it in Rugby League?
Built up no reserves my backside. Most of those players at the time (or now like Atkins) would get in your team in fact would get in most teams now.

| Bulls Boy I think you will find our friend was talking about financial reserves or money for a rainy day, something we are having a lot of at the moment!

| Quote trinwildcat10="trinwildcat10"Wakefield were deducted 4 points for entering administation. When wakefield exited admin we revamped the shop, sorted the catering issues we had and improved the bar / eating facilities within the ground. This allowed us to improve the revenue generated by the club.'"
Wakefield exited administration after being bought by Andrew Glover, the fact he took on some of the liabilities most likely lessened the points deduction from the maximum 6 pts. What would be interesting to know so a comparison could be made was the actual amount of debt that was defaulted.

Nothing to with that we got 4 points because Cru did this set the precedent although it could be lbased on the level of debt Wakefields was 300K if I remember. AG has paid a lot of local ceditors and that his to his credit as a genuine bloke, He is now reaping the rewards with City backing. He did have to wait for the take over though to be declared fit and proper by the RFL a move I suspect cost us a number of players to be sold by the Administrator, Iwonder if the same will happen to the Bulls who for all there plight have sacked all or just about all the back office but kept all the players. This is bang opposite to what happened at Wakefield, I have no idea why.

The big story I would suggest for Bradford and the game would be the fact that if its a group of investors led by Ahkbars then its great news for the game in general as this would be a massive gateway for support from some of our Asian origin communities and a massive opportunity for new supporters.

| Through all this I'm amazed we haven't gone cap in hand to Fax or Keighley and asked to merge with them. After all, if it's good enough for the moral crusaders over at the KC Stadium..........

| As a general RL fan. i hope by the close of play today that Bradford are still in business! its a crying shame how things have got to where they have. I look forward to forefilling our fixture at your place in a few weeks time (vs hkr) and gaining a bit of revenge hopefully on you for your win at CP.
If the worst happens, it will be easily the darkest day for RL, the RFL would take some massive heat and we would be in unchartered waters, a situation i dont hope arises.
Playing the martyr, have the rfl not bailed out several clubs outside the m62 corridor before? seems some questions need to be asked for mine should liquidation happen today.

| and no doubt they are not paying any rent at the moment to use Odsal, the RFL can only do so much before other teams in the heartlands begin to ask can we have the same handouts the bulls are getting especially if the Bulls keep a strong team on the field.

| If we come back in Championship 1 or 2 then we'd need the RFL to charge us a rent that is sensible given the much lower income at those levels of the game. Without that there's no point in bothering.
At SL level I'd expect the RFL are giving us some leeway at the moment but as I understand it the deal with the ground left them with the asset, not us, so it's hardly a handout.
