Echo everyone's thoughts. Hoping for a speedy recovery for him, thoughts to his mum who must be worried out of her mind.

I remember a couple of years ago, when it was hot for a few weeks in succession, the officials would allow players to take in drinks after 20 minutes and 60 minutes, for about 90 seconds, didn't notice this happen yesterday or throughout the weekend. but was thinking, why the hell not do it every game, not saying the heat was linked to Adrian's condition, but a drinks break in each half could benefit the pros who put their bodies on the line each week

This post is totally out of order, the thread is about the terrible news of Purtell's condition, as well as a place to wish him well. It is outrageous to introduce thread drift by waffling on about drinks breaks, and the half-baked attempt to infer the possibility of a link between what happened to him and the lack of drinks breaks is disgusting.

Really, I thought it was a thread informing us of what had happened to Purtell. What gives you the right assume the position of arbiter of the parameters of the thread? My initial reaction was it was probably linked to the heat & why hadn't the RFL introduced drinks breaks as had happened before, as it was 31 degrees, given this could consequently have prevented Purtell's condition?

My best wishes to Adrian for a full recovery, thats the only thing that matters at this moment.
