| This is what i just posted on the keighley forum
I just think basically you need the best chance to get as big a crowd as possible, bear in mind a lot of our junior sides play sunday morning all over yorkshire and im sure the parents will all want to be at the game, I think 3pm is sensible although i do know of a couple of bulls fans who would have attended otherwise but all in all i would imagine it is a minority

I suspect it would have been a sizable minority who would like to have gone to both matches. Let's not forget, a lot of the junior players and parents are Bulls fans and whilst they may support their particular son's team, will they miss a Bulls match to see an Open Age team they have likely never watched before?

| Didn't Dudley Hill used to play on Saturday afternoons? What's wrong with that for a kick off time?

The Kick Off time is an agreement between Dudley Hill and the Cougars for their mutual advantage , and if they have agreed that 3pm on Sunday afternoon will bring in the best return for both Clubs then so be it ..
As The Pimp 007 has already alluded to that kick off will allow the Hills sizeable junior contingent to make it back to Cougar Park to enjoy the big game and increase the gate ..from the Cougars point of view Sunday afternoon is a traditional kick off time for their team and attracts the maximum support plus the added financial gain from the Business / Corporate Market .......
Both teams have agreed on this time to make sure both teams gain some benefit ......and whether bulls fans like it or not , the fact that there is RL action at Odsal at the same time is deemed no great factor in that decision ..

This
If they swap to Saturday they will probably reduce the Cougar support, who are used to Sunday games. Let's face it, the Cougar fans are likely to make up most of the crowd.
I was told that Dudley Hill had unsuccessfully asked Bradford for Odsal for a Friday night game but I don't know how true that is.

Look, you are part of Bradford so should do as Bradford says. If you don't like it, leave.

Ive already spoke to a few of the parents who have family season tickets witht he bulls who have already decided that they will be at cougar park, like has already been pointed out financially 3pm on sunday is beter for both clubs, as amateurs we need to get everything we can out of a third round tie, especially since our last one was at Dewsbury in 2006! If we could guarantee a third round appearance every year im sure we would be in more of a position to changing times etc, but as it stands its in the clubs best interests to play when cougar fans are more likely to attend with the hope of a fair few of our lot making the trip.

| They certainly didn't disgrace themselves.
In the first half they were taken apart by a very clinical display from Keighley that capitalised on some ill discipline and were 44-0 down at the break.
To their great credit they stuck at it, didn't cave in and improved a lot in the second half. Keighley took their foot off the gas a little it has to be said. Anyway Dudley Hill got a score they deserved and ended going down 58-6. The crowd of over 800 will put a few quid in to their coffers.

| Certainly was a different game when Danny Jones went off the field, the Cougars lost a lot of go-forward and flair.
Fair play to Hill though, they did indeed give it a real go, and if you weren't there, you can read my report in todays League Express
