| I believe the youth of today would say..'meh'. He isn't ever going to be good enough to build a team around with top 8 ambitions. He might have some value as a back up squad player but unless we get a couple of injuries at HB he wouldn't be playing anytime soon. I assume the club will have some sort of recall clause in case on injury.
Despite his shortcomings, Jeffries is still the better player right now IMO.

| Quote: Rotherham Fev Fan "what did you seriously expect when you cast a sleight on the championship?? A [i"that was a brilliant post sir. Fancy moving up a gear and giving us a proper slating cos we'd love that"???? [/i type of post???
Due to the politics of the game, we have to recruit what we can given the monies we're allowed to spend. I could have won the euromillions last night and gave it all to Fev...... the salary cap would still apply!
He is what he is. Briggsy will be one of the best halves in the championship. The reasons we can't field potential England players have been well argued elsewhere over and over again!
Briggsy hasn't been given a fair crack at Bradford IMO as opposed to others i.e. Zac at Leeds. I'm sad for the lad it didn't work for him but he left fev a cracking terms and I'm delighted to have him back.'"
He has not been given a fair crack at Bradford for a reason. He is rubbish. That much is obvious. Quite why some people would be annoyed if he left is bemusing. He is a championship quality player, no more than that. If Fev fans are happy then it is a winner all round as far as I am concerned, because I am equally pleased to see another waste of cap space move on. Hopefully Sykes and Platt will follow suit too.

| Reading some of the comments I take it people don't like briggs when he left I didn't think he was ready for S/L but thought with another year at Fev under Powell he would of then made it in S/L with a good club In my opinion to become good from the championship to S/L you need to end up a a good club that is run well from top to bottom and you are picked for the right matches It also helps if you are put in a good team where the forwards do the work and set the way for the half backs to do the business I would hope that most of you Bradford fans would agree your club is not what it used to be and maybe Briggs came too early or at the wrong time. Anyway if it is confirmed and he is back with us thats great but don't forget when you want to take another player from us and pay a reasonable fee then give us him back just let us know

Fev fans are happy. We took your cash (a substancial amount if I recall....who paid that for so called rubbish?) for a player we believed could make the grade in SL and still do. Now we have him back and he will be one of the top performers in the league. Rubbish? Okay, you are entitled to your opinion but to only give a player 7 games when he's come from a part time league is no time for him to develop and build partnerships. Bulls aren't exactly a top team anymore as todays results show so there are players at your club on much more money probably who aren't performing yet you critisise one of your young players who has been let down by the club for signing him then leaving him on the scrap heap instead of giving him the opportunity to grow as a player.. If I remember correctly Potter didn't sign him and it is obvious that he doesn't fit into Potter's plans. That's fine, we benefit and you can continue to watch your star players perform.
He is on a season long loan with no recall so I guess both of us are happy.

| If you think Briggs is rubbish then what is Paul Sykes?
Thanks for the money you gave us last season and allowing Kyle to come back to a place he loved.
As for him being a big fish in a small pond, totally untrue. He is just another member of a well put together side.
Good luck for remainder of the season.

| On today's evidence alone, I'd say Sammut looks like a far more promising prospect. That said I'm still glad Kyle has only gone on loan, and not a permanent deal.

| Playing open-age in the Championship will be far better for Briggs than Academy level. Given its a loan, you'd hope that he'd be monitored regularly by the Bulls, and given some goals as to which parts of his game he needs to work on. Powell may not have cut it at Leeds, but I suspect he's an ideal coach for a player in Briggs' situation.

| has this given us the cap space for either Joseph or Pryce - or both? In which case three instead of four half backs and 6>5 props and/or 4>3 wingers, plus the benefit Briggs gets from regular games, is a win win situation over the season
