| Quote: Mick Gledhill "For the love of God.
I was booing yes, I spend thousands watching Bradford home & away and have every god dam right to do as I please if the product on the pitch is not right.
What are we all to do, just imagine that we are top of the table and playing error free Rugby League.
The facts are fans shouldn't be telling other fans to f**k off and tell them that they are not wanted by the club.'"
The old gentleman was probably exercising his "god damn right to do as he pleased" in telling you to f*** off and go support another club.

| record your boo, attach it to an email then you can target not only just the coach but any players who you think aren't performing. No grumpy old men telling you where to go and anybody playing well (should you spot anyone let us know) isn't affected by the negativity.
Win-win

| So...what people appear to be saying is that they consider booing to be the preserve of people that are not real fans. That is absolutely absurd. Warrington have the most die-hard loyal fans in the entire league. They'd get 8,000 watching them play in the Pennine leage. And yet they boo. They do it because they have passion, they care and they are hurting.
And secondly that booing is much the same as telling someone to "5uck off". What absolute rubbish.
These are merely manifestations of passion. No wonder Bradford fans are quiet if they all watch the game sagely rubbing their chin and reflecting long and hard before saying anything. They've turned up, paid there damn money and earned the right to boo without being judged according to someone elses personal tarrif on what is and isn't acceptable criticism.
I'm sick of the ceaselessly negative dullards but some of the people who exist purely to deny them the right to speak are really grinding my t1ts now.

| I don't boo the bulls although I have boo'd opposition (normally Leeds) and refs
I didn't think the booing was that bad - I've heard a lot worse over the years and that said if someone wants to boo they can do IMO
Sometimes the displeasure needs to be communicated - if the people feel that way
Maybe the club could help the boo ers and record it and play it over the speakers like the northern chant?

But that's different - that's professional booing, and its no more than is expected of a true Bulls fan!
And yes, for the avoidance of doubt - if someone wants to boo - or stay away - they are quite entitled to same way as if someone wants to cheer or be a club sycophant. And, as someone said earlier, you really only boo your own lot out of intense frustration and passion. Whether its counterproductive is a separate argument.
On the subject - 1998 - remember? After winning the title in 1997 we were not having a good season at all. I remember after we were beaten at home by - it was one of the so-called "lesser" clubs ( think Sheffield?) the team came over to the stand, led by Sir James who was clapping the fans. Many of whom responded by booing. You could see he was visibly upset, and ended up just throwing a dismissive wave at the fans and walked away. I didn't boo but I sure felt like it, I'll admit cos I was as gutted as everyone else.
The thing was, transpired that as well as the numerous bad injuries we were aware of there were loads of players carrying injuries who should not have been playing. But when you had (IIRC) three cruciate cases sat in the stand for a start there was little choice. Of course the fans did not know this. But I know it annoyed and upset the likes of Jimmy who were trying their best even if it may not have looked that way. And was counterproductive.
Now I'm not drawing any parallels at all here, and guess it will be a while before we get to know whats really the cause of the current poor form, but I do think its worth making the point that there may be factors of which we are not aware contributing to the present mediocrity. (At least I HOPE there are...!)

Edited quote.
I like your logic. And fans should be able to express joy or pain in performances as they see fit. I do also think that others have an equal right to disagree. Telling Mick to f off, is co, crude and perhaps inarticulate, but we don't generally have a right not to be offended by others.
Mick's obviously offended and rightfully so, but I don't think we should reasonably expect either of them to moderate their behaviors, even if we'd prefer either or both them to have done.
Freedom of speech, just watch what you say!
