| Is a move to Valley Parade out of the question?
I get the feeling that Odsal is a massive millstone around your necks and that you'll never be a force again until that circle is squared.

I think if the necessity of it is explained properly then no, it absolutely isn't.
Like Bullseye I was one of those who voted out of there, back to Odsal and now regrets that entirely emotional choice.
edit: Though what the cost of that is is another story altogether. It belongs to the Flamingo Land pension fund, not Bradford City. They pay through the nose to play there. As would we.

Figure that was banded about last time subject was seriously discussed was around 5-6k to rent VP for a game and open one block of a stand. Compared with 7k a month we pay per month (not per game) at odsal. Downside of odsal is we have to pay maintenance. But upside is we control and receive revenue from all concessions, bars and hospitality. At VP we presumably be sub letting from football club and they'd be providing those services but taking the profit. So we'd lose further revenue.
Can't see horsfall as a viable option as it wouldn't be SL standard without massive investment. Move to a ground where we can't at least reistically aim for promotion and majority of supporters would call it a day IMO.

Just wanted to ask *I have asked a similar question previously* ....
Can any of you Bulls fans see your Club ground sharing with Wakey or Cas ?
Now, I didn't go to Wakefield last season & when travelling away I am usually on a coach & had a couple of sherberts by end of play so I never remember the geography of Yorkshire RL Stadia but, would it work ?
Could Bulls share with one of these Clubs either in a new Stadium in a 'Middle Ground' between or Co Exist in a current stadium ?
All this on the proviso of surviving current issues or a takeover 'hostile' or not by a new investor.
Apologies again, wouldn't wish it on any Club so I will leave you be, interested in your thoughts.'"
Theres a better ground than all those mentioned just down the road infact some of our fans would speculate it would be like home from home.

| Odsal is like a big old house and costs a lot to keep. It’s also not ideal for income generation either as the corporate side of things is a bit shabby when compared with what’s available at Headingley, Hudders and any number of hotels etc.
It’s also not exactly inviting for regular spectators, it offers 1930s levels of comfort in the 21st century.
While it holds heaps of happy memories for me it’s time to leave. It’s not iconic it’s a museum piece. While plenty of new stadiums are lacking in soul they enable the clubs to live on.
Moving to City wouldn’t be ideal and we’d be the junior partner. Ground sharing would probably end in tears. Our chance to do it on an equal footing has been and gone.
Horsfall would probably need a load of money spending to bring it up to speed too.
I can’t see any other feasible options. We’re stuck where we are at the moment until we get a massive cash injection from somewhere. Shame our local authority didn’t build a new ground years ago as has occurred just about everywhere else.

Staying in a ground where we are not financially stable enough to keep our star studded academy, and then fold anyway, is surely worse? We are not going to get promoted in the next 5 years anyway, so we need to work out what positive things we CAN do.

To be honest if those thousands of glory fans (which only seem to exist in Fax fans minds) are still with us after the years of laughing-stock-ness we have become, then fair play to them.
I mean, if they actually liked lower league rugby, arguments with councils and financial turmoil they would have 'gone back' to Fax years ago.

They were all generally claimed to be from Shelf anyway, rlwhich I put a bit of effort into proving is closer to Odsalrl than anywhere in Halifax a bit back. (Not taking into account the flat straight road from there to Odsal, or the twisting mountain passes and many opportunities for ambush from there into Halifax).
[sizeIf I can ever be ahsed to do that again I promise not to forget Featherstone exist.[/size

It is my understanding that the rent at Valley Parade is in the region of £450k per year, it was double that but the directors bought the offices back and sold them off along with the car park as a school. That part of the rental agreement wasn't held by Flamingo land, the stadium was held by Flamingo land and due to Gibb and Rhodes hating each other sale was never on the cards. Now City have new German owners maybe maybe a sale is on the cards but then again would it actually be any cheaper than Odsal and you'd probably have to beg City to hold events as they would probably have first dibs on using the conference suites. I passed there the other day and they had a speed awareness course running so they seem to be pushing the facilities 365 days a year.
Weren't Rhodes and Lawn interested in the Bulls last admin? They were one of 4 bids with Green, Mandy and Lamb. I wonder if those two are bored of not having a club hands on yet and fancy Rugby League.

From a Wakey perspective, would you share with Warrington and Widnes at some rugby-less spot between all three?

Think that'd have to be Ikea, quite handy access from the motorway.
