Done you no if things are still progressing Frank. Things seem to be taking a long time.

| Well Andrew Chalmers is out of the race.
Sadler says he expects a statement today.

| If, and when, all this is concluded and we're lucky enough to have a positive outcome, I think we should strike a medal for Rohan Smith.
His leadership has been stupendous imo, given all the rumours and stories circulating he's clearly kept the players together as a group and still focussed on the job [hopefully] in hand. He also, pace today's T&A, knows how to butter up the fans and keep them onside.
We've not knighted anyone since Sir Keith, so I think Sir Rohan wouldn't go amiss.

| All kudos to our bidder for persevering throughout this protracted process.Too many superficial obstacles and referrals would definitely test one's resolve to the limit...and we are only the bystanders on this process!
One would understand if they now chose the liquidation route.

| It's a complex sale process, a rugby club from the administrator, a leasehold from the RFL, the offer to balance against liabilities and creditors to satisfy, and everyone's off - administrator is completing due diligence and something should break soon.
Terms are done, just awaiting acceptance from what I hear.
As for the rumour of the buyer, I couldn't comment publicly but I know initially the offer was an act of true altruism, which grew into making a lot of sense all round over the days and weeks, with the buyers eyes being opened to the Bulls heritage and potential to be linked with a positive winning brand alongside a massive development opportunity on the existing and surrounding site.
I've chilled out over Christmas knowing the little I do, I maintain that we definitely have a bright future, but the points deduction could mean it's a long road back.

As long as we have a club I aren't fussed.
Are you saying the bidder isn't Andrew Chalmers?

| Well I was certainly never convinced about Chalmers.
Fingers still crossed.

| Chalmers was never preferred bidder, he wouldn't have passed fit and proper person test for a start. He may have been late bid with green involved that was rumoured.

| Aaron Bower on twitter
Likely to be a statement from the administrators of Bradford later today confirming that the bid that was on the table has been rejected.

Pollsters doing Excellent job - say recent polls.: |
|
| Was Chalmers part of the NZ consortium? The stories about past businesses were troubling, and there didn't seem to be a lot of cash about, unless he was a front for someone else who wished to remain anonymous, which would also be troubling. So, no major loss I think, unless he was the only game in town, in which case we're doomed.

Who by? I thought he had to put the bid to the creditors?

Sadler also said last week that he expected everything to be signed on Tuesday. It's now Thursday.

| Quite a few media people are saying the bid has been rejected. Gulp!
Whether some have put 2 and 2 together because Chalmers is out of the running i dont know.

Looking at Twitter, it seems to me that Sadler tweeted that, then other League Express and T&A journos essentially just repeated his statement. Could easily all just be from the fact Sadler has been told Chalmers' bid has been rejected.
As usual, take all with pinch of salt until something is announced properly.
