Yes, AB, pretty much as I said before the season started, its a three year project, and this year I would be glad if we are in the play offs, but say it again, our defence is just not good, if i was coach thats all I would focus on for the first year as break even on points will certainly get you into the playoffs, and a good defence will get you there. Looking at the table now we are 10th with a points difference of -102. keep this defence up and we will be playing Keighley in the league next year. And getting beaten.

Know what you are saying Sensei-Bull, its called in-breeding and you end up losing a sense of reality. One game does not define a season. Its the trend over all the games so far, and as I have been saying, our wins have all bar Wakefield have been by just a few points, our losses have been by a big margin. We need to get the defence working 150%. We are 10th with a points difference of -102, so what Mick and the players have to do for the rest of the season is focus on defence and getting our points difference to break even.

Why is there even contemplation of Potter's position after only 10 games considering he inherited the side who finished as the worst team in the league last year?

Because we listened to all the nonsense about how 'Steve was doing a great job' for at least 2 years after he should have been sacked. After the last 'endless' fiasco the fans will not show such patience ever again. Losing away at any SL club is no disgrace. Shipping 50 points with 34 missed tackles is a total and absolute disgrace. The fact that there are people on another thread saying we shouldn't sign Leon Pryce beggars belief. Potter took on a small, poor squad. He's added numbers but not much else so far. We're crying out for a touch of quality.

I agree with those who state our pack is not big enough, fast enough, aggressive enough. The props, including Lynch are very ordinary and Olbison, Whitehead and Donaldson are inexperienced. Potter has had no luck with the halves and we have to give them more time but how many times do we have to see Sykes get run over in the centres to see the lad is an average full back and nothing else.

We have to stick with Potter and we have to appreciate just what a shambles he took on but Potter and others have to realise just why there is a collective groan when Sykes name is read out. It's because despite his best and most honourable efforts, he's dreadful.

Potter deserves our support but in return we deserve a bit of respect and we didn't get that on Saturday.
