I don't get it. We've signed a player. For a position we desperately need cover in. And nobody seems pleased. What is going on?

I reckon we're all delighted by that, but we all knew about that signing days ago, and so were probably expecting some sort of first address by our new owner. Who doesn't appear to again have said a lot. Which is good, if he has nothing to say, but we were rather hoping he did?

We are a rather subdued lot these days. The signing is clearly good news but perhaps we collectively have a forlorn hope that the 5th mystery director is rich?

Yeah, it's been trailed a bit, but I'm delighted to have Jamal on board. Whatever his current 'problems' at Catalans, he's a proven prop who runs his weight and was always a problem for us when he played against us. Look forward to seeing him in our team.

Thought Green came across pretty well during his interview with Radio Leeds. Promises that avoiding relegation is first priority but he plans to be here for 10-15 years and plans to run the club with his business head and not his heart. Just need him to be the owner that keeps those promises now.

Arrival of Fakir is a good start to the recruitment, he should add the aggression and go forward that we desperately lack right now. When you look at the upcoming fixtures we're probably going to struggle regardless so I'd be content to be a little patient rather than rush out to just fill shirts. The home tie versus Salford is pretty much a must win though, it would be great to see Gaskell, Ferguson and Fakir come into the side for that match.

I don't know if this is on message but I agree that the Salford game is huge. I can barely conceive of us avoiding relegation of we were to lose.

Bit more info in sporting life article. Mentions a commercial director and a financial one have been identified. Also says they've decided whether or not to appeal the points deduction yet and are discussing it internally. Also mentions buying lease back from RFL as a mid term aim .Franny looking for another prop.

Think fakir will fit in well. Gives us that bit of aggression we've been missing.
