The reason why I think this rumour has a proper basis is that it was published in the T&A (and connor doesnt just post every baseless rumour - his have some proper basis), and has anyone seen any angry denial from Saints saying Leon is under contract and going nowhere?

Nope. As he is a prize asset, surely they would have something to say about another club letting it be known that moves are afoot for him to break his contract..

The silence speaks volumes.

That why I'm sure discussions have taken place between the two clubs, but what the outcome was, who knows? It might have gone no further than saints saying "go away till his contract ends", it might still be ongoing. We might never know officially, but I'm certain there has been discussion at some level, which is one of the reasons why the rumour won't go away....the other reason is MickG icon_wink.gif
