| I see we have Leeds again for the magic weekend, thanks a bunch RFL!
The result of that could be the difference between play offs or not.
Derbies are the most unfair way of arranging this fixture, i'll bet Cas will be laughing.

| Indeed. As I said earlier in the thread about the magic weekend.
Totally unfair and totally wrong. If the result DOES make the difference, how will those who think the derby extra fixtures are a good idea react?

| All Bulls fans should boycott this sham of a contrived event. I was really looking forward to the fixtures coming out but now i am totally deflated.

| we were given an "easy" fixture at Murrayfield Magic against Crusaders and still blew it.
I'm not bothered about who we play at the Magic fixture. We have far more pressing issues to resolve before we start worrying about winning this fixture.

and Warrington.
Of course we could look at it as an opportunity to take another 2 points off Leeds...

You should be bothered because the likelihood is it will be two points down the tubes whilst other teams will gain an advantage over us due to geography.

Usually because we're playing the reigning champs and we missed on the playoffs, a two point disadvantage because Bradford is next to Leeds.

not really. last year we couldn't turn over Catalans at home (who only had 12 men), we got spanked against salford away, got beat by wakey away, lost to hull at home and lost to crusaders away. 10 points just there and we lost the millenium magic fixture (which you could argue was unfortunate). we still should have qualified for the play offs.
Next season's magic fixture won't make a jot of difference to our eventual play off qualification or missing out on them.

Yes, all unacceptable performances against teams you would hope to do better against, however given the choice of playing Leeds or someone like Salford for example i know who i would rather pick. This puts us at a disadvantage to other teams without a doubt.

Still dont understand your point?
No extra fixture has been created, if there was no magic weekend, we would still have to play ' the current champs'. If anything, it actually makes it fairer. We play leeds at home, away and on neutral ground!

Leeds are the champions.
We will play them three times, everyone else will play them twice.

| Looking on the positive, I think its as good a start to the season as could be hoped, especially compared with Leeds (at Cardiff) and Wigan (home) last season
Catalans tend to start slowly, presumably due to their high player turnover. They don't usually seem to get going until 5-6 games into the season. A home game against them at a cold and frosty Odsal gives us a great chance to get off to a flyer.
Then Castleford away is a fixture that we've really got to be targeting as a game that we can win. They were on a real slump at the end of last season and haven't exactly set the world on fire with their recruitment. Again, this is a winnable game (or should be)
I know we have the propensity to blow it, but surely we've got to be looking to get off to a two-from-two winning start?

| I have imported the fixtures into MS Outlook Calendar. If anyone wants a copy of my Windows .CSV file to do the same, please PM me your email address and I'll send you a copy.
I have no clue beyond that if it will work exactly the same with recent flavours of Outlook as it does with mine (2000 and 2003), but even if not, I'm sure choosing the fields at import would be straightforward.
