I agree basically, but the problem with a prop as skipper is that he isn't on the field for half the game. Whether that's a big enough 'but' to change things I dunno. Though, there's no reason to think Potter will just go along with Macca's last year decision on who will be captain.

Maybe Orford as vice captain and then they'll virtually share the job?

Langley is vice-captain and is usually on the pitch for 80 minutes.

I dont think Lynch is a good captain. Never seems to get them going.

I've seen him do it on quite a few occasions this season.

I'll trust Potter though, if he thinks Orford or Langley or someone else will do it better then so be it.

he earned and deserved the option to say you know what i'll go to england and carry on...and he's performed fantastically since arriving at bradford...he's a credit to the game and the ultimate RL pro.....so don't go campare matt orford with steve menzies.

I always got the impression Lynchy was to quiet and placid with his players. Not sure about anybody else but when I play, I usually respond better to a captain that barked instruction, so long as they led by example aswell. Lynch does lead by example, but I'm not sure if he has other attributes which make him captain material.
