| It looks strongly likely that we have signed Foster.
Think he and Lulia could form a good partnership in 2013.

| Young winger with SL experience, looking to kick on with his career would seem to fit the bill for us right now. Given where we are at I think he will do a good for us, especially outside a dependable centre like Lulia.

I think he is a confidence player, if its up he`s good if its down he struggles. Just wonder after doin so well at Hull if they regret commiting to Crookes and not taking Foster. On top form he is streets ahead of Crookes IMHO.'"
To be honest he was pretty average, kicking was exceptional, but is too weak to make a decent winger, makes hardly any yards, not that fast and defence was suspect in a few games. All of his trys at Hull where walk in's.
I not sure that Crookes is any better as I haven't seen him enough to judge him, but I don't expect Crookes to be a our starting winger next season with Briscoe one one wing and young Lineham on the other.
Would expect Crookes would be on less money than Foster also.

| Foster is bigger than Tom Briscoe. He will develop physically into the build of Keith Senior. The rest is up to him.

| Good signing this, knows how to finish, world class kicker and has room to improve aspects of his game, but most importantly wants to be here and prove himself. Welcome aboard Jamie.

Aye, and Eddie is hinting at it too. And, as we all know:

| Delighted!!! Barring his shocker at Odsal last season he has looked a top prospect and we are lucky to get him IMO. Terrific goal kicker (imagine TWO dependable kickers?? Not had that since Henry and Deacs IMO) and can only get better.
Considerably better than Ainscough and the myth that was Jason Crookes IMO.

Don't think SL status has anything to do with length of his deal otherwise we would be giving all our new signings 1 yr deals. Seems a clear statement that he's got a year to prove he's worth a longer deal.

I think you are being a bit unfair to him. Not all of his tries were walk ins by any means i.e. his two against the Giants in the play off game. True he's not that fast but he helped us out of a hole and did a good job. I think Crookes is a better long term prospect, but Foster is a decent signing for the Bulls IMO.

I agree.
Crookes only looked half decent last year (when not injured) because he was outside Lulia

For me. However I do appreciate Purtell, if he is given the all clear, seems to be prefered as a centre.
I agree with previous posts, probably the best back line we've had for years.

| I think it's a good deal for the Bulls. Worst case senario is if he is poor, then you only have him for one year. Best case senario he kicks on from his mid-season form in 2011 for Saints.
I wish him well, in a way he got too much flack at Saints to carry on and it was not always based on his Rugby. He'd get flack for wearing different boots( which is actually down to his sponsor, who would phone him up and give him some boots if the game was on SKY. If the sponsor is paying you, then you are going to wear their boots no matter how flash), he got flack for being a pretty boy, he gets flack for his tweets and gets flack for setting up a hairdressing business.
Basically he gets flack for using the most of what he has. In terms of Rugby for me he took a dip in his defensive displays mid-way through 2011. He started missing kicks etc and this got worse in 2012. He should have been dropped earlier at Saints but Royce kept picking him for his kicking that kept us in games.
Hope he does well as he is a local lad and taking a 12 month deal rather than sitting around at Saints shows he has some get up and go about him.
