Jeffries got 10 mins in the bin after about 5 mins, we had scored first and looked up for it. They scored 2 ( or 3 times, can't remember) whilst we were down to 12, all spirit seemed to drain out of us and then we just rolled over!

So going in AFTER the referee has shouted MOVE and pushing a player into touch is a questionable penalty ? Wow.

Move? I heard him shout held at the same time Jeffries tackled the player, which he claimed he never heard. For me the player was never tackled anyway so it was a poor decision from the ref in the first place.
There we're two other instances of a so called 'professional foul' which were left unpunished.
Fortunately the bad decision did not effect the result.

Potter said: "Ten minutes in the bin for Ben Jeffries was a ridiculous call. The rot started from there. It's not the reason we lost but we were certainly on the back foot from then."

No. Watch it again. He shouted MOVE before Jeffries even made contact with Briscoe.

I was at the game, quite close to the incident and I didn't hear the ref shout anything, for the same reason that I guess the players wouldn't have heard anything you claim was shouted either(where were you incidentally?) The tackle was never completed (arm never touched the ground) and he could have passed the ball the defender was entitled to complete the tackle. Not the best decision he's ever made, imo.

Ditto.
And why was a similar incident against us a bit later on (and even closer to me) not similarly penalised?

The arm doesn't have to touch the ground though, if the ref makes the call (whether he's wrong or not) the tackle is judged to be complete.

No I watched it on Sky where the referee's calls were/are as clear as night follows day. The tackle was completed because Thaler said it was (twice - he shouted the tackle number followed by MOVE). After that it doesn't really matter whether you or I think the tackle was completed or not - it's the clear referee calls on the TV which prove beyond all doubt that once Thaler had called MOVE and Jeffries then pushed Briscoe in to touch he was on very dicey ground. My [iclaim[/i as you put it is based on totally clear TV/Audio evidence. Your point is based purely on your own conjecture.

It all happened in a split second in a very noisy environment. This year so far if a player has not heard a call he has just been able to play the ball again. It was a very harsh sin binning, and no worse than the one that Briscoe did later in the game which just resulted in a penalty.

I assume that you're talking about the rule this year where an attacker passes the ball at the same time as the referee calls held ? If so it's interesting but totally irrelevant to this situation.

It was absolutely nothing like that incident either in terms of the context of play or the referee's calls.
