| Quote: el red "OK, I'll clarify further.
You failed to score a single point for the first time in two years in that game v Fev. Your defence actually got worse under your new coach, do the math. '"
I did indeed fail to score a point against Featherstone. This is mainly because I wasn't playing. We did indeed blame the players for not doing the business and those responsible for the debacle are largely gone.
So given the change in personnel, I can only assume your harking back to the debacle is pure and poor trolling. if we had kept the same squad you would have a point. Smith couldn't do anything with that squad and neither frankly could the Lord himself.
Quote: el red "This is not to defend Lowe's, but he got you to the MPG and left you in third spot because he realised Green and Ferres were lying to him regarding investment etc. '"
Third spot and playing like plonkers was the whole point, you plank! "Got us to 3rd spot" my arrrse! We had gone and were going backwards, Leigh were going forwards. "Getting to 3rd spot" is utter bollox and bilge. It cost lowes his job and rightly so. Credit to him for realising it was not happening and falling on his sword. he had the club's best interests at heart in doing so.
Quote: el red "Smith failed to make top 4, and conceded tries at an alarming rate. You go from one winding up petition to another (next one this Monday) under an owner who can't pay his staff. And he lack of funds is a direct result of your 'saviour' coach's failing.
Please correct if I'm wrong.'"
Surely you get the point that the failings of last season were 90% the players, the choice of players to acquire, and Lowes' coaching? Smith simply can't take much blame having been in the job 5 minutes, with someone else's squad. And even then he managed to bring in a couple of what are now the division's leading players.
Conflating the financial morass with Smith is your most stupid point though. If anyone is to blame, then it is the players who couldn't finish in the top 4. Fev was one game, but we weren't in 5th at that stage by accident, we were there because we had a team performing poorly, and it was not Smith's team.
Finally, Smith was in no way a "saviour" coach. Lowes had gone, so we HAD no coach! Whoever we then got was simply our next coach. Whether he will end up being our saviour remains to be seen, but give the lad a fookin chance!

The one thing that Leigh have shown is that it is very unlikely to be done without substantial financial input. We certainly don't have that much clout in the money department, and whilst Chairman Green has certainly put money in, it is far from unlimited.

| A long term plan bringing through the young players is the only way we'll do it.

| The problem is that they don't stay and we become a feeder club. It seems we're already doing a fair job of that, just look at the England side and weep.
If we can instill the faith of going back up into the younger players then maybe it will work out in the longer run. What it needs is four or five to come through all at at once - if we get one or two, in dribs and drabs, they'll leave as soon as they feel unchallenged by the Championship [and they'd be barmy not to go, imo], a few in the same couple of years intake and maybe there is a chance you'll persuade them to 'keep the faith' for a season or two. Perhaps..

| Quote: Bull Mania "I'm quietly confident for next year. As Bullseye said, our spine this time last year was Mathers/Gaskell/Addy. Next year it will be Moss/Pryce & Keyes/Chisholm. Our backline looks superb and is probably the quickest in the championship. Probably a forward or two light in the pack, but i'm sure we can get some SL props on loan who aren't getting game time.
Rohan will get a full pre-season with them and stamp his mark on the team. They will probably be a determined attitude this year after being humiliated last year.
I think we'll be be pushing the top 2. I see no reason why we can't go to Hull KR and win and set our stall out. Im sure there is plenty of recruitment to be done by all but noseying on the KR board, their strongest side (according to them) looks something along the lines of the below. I wouldn't have any of their 1-7 over ours aprt from maybe Minns. They have the bigger pack, but not a massive bench. KR are obviously favorites, but i don't think there's a huge difference.
1. Matty Marsh.......................................... 1. Kieran Moss
2. Ben Cockayne........................................ 2. James Clare
3. Andrew Hefferman................................. 3. Alex Foster
4. Thomas Minns........................................ 4. Kris Welham
5. Ryan Shaw............................................ 5. Ethan Ryan
6. Jordan Abdul......................................... 6. Leon Pryce
7. Jamie Ellis............................................ 7. Dane Chisholm
8. Nick Scruton......................................... . 8. Ben Kavanagh
9. Shaun Lunt........................................... 9. Adam O'brein
10 Mitch Clark............................................ 10 Adam Sidlow
11. Maurice Blair........................................ 11. Tom Olbison
12. James Greenwood................................ 12. Alex Mellor
13. Danny Addy ....................................... 13. Lachlan Burr
14. Dane Tilse........................................... 14. Joe Lumb/Phil Joseph
15. George Lawler..................................... 15. Ross Peltier
16. Chris Clarkson..................................... 16. Jon Margrin
17. James Donaldson................................ 17. Jason Walton'"
At Hull KR, I think the consensus is we're 2 quality players short for the Championship campaign at least. A big nasty prop and a fast winger is the priority.

| To FA, I rest my case. Your owner is a liar and stated he would never put the club in admin. Your head coach has known about this for weeks and yet still comes out with BS. Also, I wonder what the hold up is over your recent Aus signing, visa issues or simply can't be registered or paid?
Best of luck

That wasn't your case, though!
The owner never said he wouldn't put us in admin so stop making shiit up, indeed that's how he entered the club, precisely BY putting us in admin.
Our head coach is another stupid target, he has come to take the job from fsckin Australia, and only deserves sympathy. You don't know what he knew so put a lid on your nonsense, and even if he did know anything then WTF could he say or do about it?
Your posts are pretty weird

| Marc Green told a meeting of staff and players, only a few weeks ago, that he would not put the club in admin.
Why not ask some of your friends at the club, that is not a guess or trolling it's a fact.

| Interesting that the RFL are already talking about sanctions i.e points deductions, loss of funding etc
Quote: "“Any decision regarding membership of the RFL and possible sporting sanctions will be made in due course and are at the discretion of the RFL Board.” '"
Thanks for the support guys

I have no need to. I know what was said but even if I didn't, Green has stated formally all over the press in recent weeks and months eg 4 August"“strongly reaffirmed the position that he has not looked for and will not consider sending the club into administration.”
What do you expect him to say? Which business ever said,"ell, actually, we're looking at administration in a few weeks?
