Ha, indeed!!
With regard to the psychologist, I wondered if he was maybe a fan who had offered his services. Maybe trying to build his practice?

He was/is indeed rla Bulls fanrl, and as he's from Dewsbury that rings true, and according to one rlprofilerl he still works for us.

| Quote: vastman "There are loan signings then there are LOAN signings.
In Smith case he's a LOAN signing in that he has rejoined a club he never wanted to leave and the only one he's ever been really happy at from a club he just didn't fit into - a LOAN in name only.
I very much see Owen as a Wakey lad who started well at Cas then lost his way - these are players Wakefield have a real reputation for resurrecting the careers of these types of players.
Gilmour a gap filler.
Riley, I'd like to keep him tbh.
So they may be loans but they are proving their value which is all you can ask for.'"
Fair comment-- the underlying issue I was alluding to was the contrast between the success of your loan policy and decisions and the Bulls. The only real successes at Odsal were the 2 props from the Giants who lasted a month - one recalled the other did not want to stay.
We lost 3 key players at the start of the season, 2 of whom are now out on loan to other clubs. We have 2 Leeds youngsters ,one of whom has still not seen first team action. We had Bridge ( now with Fev) and Sutcliffe recalled by Leeds.

| Phew, I was a bit anxious before the game that we might not be able to donate our regulation half century to the opposition, what with a new coach an all. I'd sort of miss the feelings of embarrassment and humiliation.
I needn't have worried, though. We came out with no intention of putting in a shift, and as normal were beaten after 15 minutes. It was only when Wire decided to ease off that the blood stopped flowing.
We let them do what they liked. They were obviously told to come out second half and step it up for a few tries to make the game safe, and then relax, which is what they did.
Effort? Yes, a poor effort. No change there then. Fifty points a week. They should all offer to resign.

| We've gone from a rugby league club to a Tesco Clubcard. No-one gifts more points than us at the mo.

| Normally after a match there are quiet a few comments on the board about the game. But today apart from a few skirmishes in the long running war with Wakey hardly a whisper today.
Now this might be lack of effort from members of RAB - but more likely continued capitulations on the field and lack of any squad news or developments other than in some court or other are finally testing the patience of even the hard core fans?

| So we're currently 9 points behind Salford, by my reckoning that will officially relegate us by the home game v Hull FC mid-August.

Pretty much, though maybe 'resignation' would be more accurate, at least in my case. As well as a few more words like "royally fscked off".
Basically I think it's hard to be bothered when the players are so clearly not. Biggest bunch of shirkers in my time watching the club. They probably even have convinced themselves into believing their own excuses - when they can be bothered to make them.
A collective two fingers up at Lowes, too.

Agreed - do you know if Jimmy has invited any of the players into the car park yet? - that could draw a bigger crowd than the games!

| Jimmy won't have had much time on the training field yet, so our improvement with the ball in hand will have to be attributed directly to BK returning. Which is a good thing.
And thats about it.
PTB was slow, partly due to Warrington being much cleverer than us in slowing the PTB down. Line speed was poor which is down to effort (lack of). Which contributed to:
Warrington having time & space in the middle of the park to do whatever they felt like.
I will say that when Donno came on after about 20minutes (or the game being gone), we did tighten up in the centre. But that was 20minutes too late. Addy had a bit of a 'mare.
Strangely, I did feel better about that defeat, rather than the Salford one. I think there will be an improvement, given some time.
