| I voted Huddersfield, but it's almost the best of a bad bunch in some ways.
The Bradford-Leeds thing doesn't bother me in that respect, I just want to see a new name on the trophy. I don't really want to see a second Warrington v Leeds Grand Final again so soon. And the evil sod in me thinks it'd be funny for Morley to walk in with his GF ring on the last day, and Briers with a GF ring would be unbearable. Wigan, meh, have their own set of tool fans and I'm not sure Huddersfield will keep up the run at the top (similar to Hull FC in 2006 if you will).
Huddersfield,
Wigan,
Warrington,
Leeds.
But it doesn't matter, I don't get what I want so it'll be Leeds v Warrington again.

| ... oh and no, I wasn't fed up with Bradford getting there year after year and playing Leeds back to back. But that was then and was so long ago my opinions have changed!

| Deary me. Quote from rlGarryrl only last year, "I'm not surprised that leeds rhinos have made this offer, they have always seen the bigger picture" Compare that with the snivelling and ungrateful attitude displayed by some on here and you have to wonder if the 50k would have been better spent elsewhere.
I too remember back to the days of a packed Headingley for the visit of the Bulls, and the mayhem wrought by the Volcano, but sadly for you, it has all been downhill since, but is there really any need for such pettiness......"anybody but leeds etc etc."
I personally hope that if it can't be us, (yet again), then Huddersfield, who have played some cracking rugby this year, should be the ones to take the trophy home to a proper Yorkshire town!

Are you really getting your knickers in a twist over fans of a team from BRADFORD not wanting a team from LEEDS to win the final? Seriously?
I kinda think that's how local rivalry works unless I'm missing something. It isn't as if we've said we want your club to go bust.

| But wanting Wigan to win anything, rather than your bitterest local rivals, is still beyond me.

Our apologies. What we should do is constantly want Leeds to win everything, even when they play Bradford, since they helped us out a short while back.
I can see it now, in 20 years, when a young 20 year old Rhinos fullback has a bad game and a Bulls fan laughs at him, Billy popping on here to abuse said Bulls fan and remind him they helped us out and we're ungrateful blah blah blah. Like those idiots at the Magic Weekend chanting about being ungrateful, who somehow don't seem to understand that a friendly rivalry doesn't mean hatred.
Leeds are local rivals for us. Most of our fans don't want them to win because of that. Hardly anyone wants the people at the club or the club itself to fall under actual hard times other than just losing games.
Learn that a rivalry is just that. It's not malicious, it's not vindictive, it's just a rivalry. Untwist your knickers and enjoy your game.
I'm not sure what we do when Leeds play Warrington though. They helped us out a bit too. Who do we cheer on? Are we ungrateful if we don't want both teams to win?

goes to show that been the most consistent team in regular season does not guarantee you success and for the third year in a row the team that has finished top has failed to make the final, hoping Wigan can beat Leeds tomorrow but I don't see it happening.
