maybe it was mistake then for the Giants to give you £12,000 last season then or are you all not as ungrateful as ME

Bad Fail.
Huddersfield gave the Bullbuilder Hardship Fund £2,924. Bradford Badger and I put the Hardship Fund accounts together, so we are better placed than anyone to know. If you are going to try and score cheap points, at least try and get your facts straight, old boy? For once, eh?
Some thought Hudds had been shamed into it, after the magnificent gestures by Leeds (to Gargoyle) and the superb Warrington (to the Hardship Fund). Personally, whatever the motive, I know for a fact that the recipients were very grateful of every penny that was contributed to the Hardship Fund, from whatever source. There was real hardship there, and I believe the Fund made the difference between there being a club for OK to acquire, and not.
But, lest we forget, Hudds have received 1/13 of the Sky money confiscated from Bradford. I understand 5 clubs did not vote to take the money; were Hudds one of them?

Huddersfield gave 40% of the ticket sales for all Bradford Bulls fans who attended the Galpharm stadium. As i understand it 1500 plus attended. At an average of £20 per ticket that would work out at approx£12,000.
For it to be as low as £3000 you would have been getting your tickets at £5 each average. It is possible that the 1500 supporters were made up of 1200 under 12s and the rest were full paying adults
This was widely reported at the time.
If the money did not go to you were did it go or is it possible that it went via the RFL or maybe straight to the directors.
you may have been involved in the hardship fund maybe you can tel us if you were handling all of the finances of the Bulls club

| I told you the amount that was paid. If you want to call me a liar, come and do it to my face. The amount the Hardship Fund received is set out clearly in the Hardship Fund account that all Bullbuilder Members received as part of the annual report.
"Straight to the directors"??? Shows you have no understanding of the situation whatseover. The company was in administration at the time.
£20 a ticket? Ever heard of VAT? You have to knock that out first.
I have told you what was received by the Hardship Fund, which was the stated recipient of the moneyHuddersfield Giants will donate a percentage of tickets sold in the John Smiths Stand, both pre sale and on the day to the Bullbuilder hardship fund.'"
Note both prices and my emphasis. That makes it clear that there was only ever one intended recipient.
Now, I can prove what I said. Can you?
(None of this is any criticism whatsoever of Huddersfield, btw - quite the opposite. I said above how grateful the recipients were to everyone and every organisation that donated to the Fund. Just a rebuttal of a significantly inaccurate figure being tossed around by someoen whose credibility on this forum is pretty low to start with).

Did i call you a liar no.
I said my understanding was that the Giants gave £12000 based on 40% of ticket sales.
It is a fact that 40% was given and it is a fact that 1500 plus attended. If that worked at at only 75% of what I estimated then i clearly underestimated the number of over 65s, under 12s and pre bought tickets. Even taking into account the 20% reduction in vat. If that is what it was then i have no problem accepting it.
But my post was written in a response to a facetious post by ME .
And as for your comment that none of this is written as a criticism of the Huddersfield how bizzarre that your post quotes how much money was recieved and then starts off with the fact that it is your view that the Giants were shamed into it and then ends with the question about the Sky money. Fopr someone who is grateful it seems and interesting way of publicising it.
PM sent.

| It is NOT a fact that 40% was given. READ THE GIANTS STATEMENT! The amount is clearly stated as:
"The first 500 will be at the usual 10%
The second 500 will be at 20%
The third 500 will be at 30%
and all sales over 1500 will be at 40%"
So, for 1500 (if it was that many - I think it was less) that would be an average of 20%. And of the average price paid, net of VAT.
And please don't insult us by putting up a straw man, and seeking to attribute to me a view I never expressed as mine. I stated a view that some expressed at the time. I have no view on that issue personally one way or the other, since I was not party to the decision.

Well on the basis of the article that would explain the discrepancy between what i estimated and what you said was recieved. I went on what i understood from someone who has more knowledge of the club and it's decisions than i do which stated that,
Quote: Adeybull "Iirc Bulls didn't get enough for the 40% mark which was 1500 though only just under it but we still honoured the 40%'"
On that information i had i assumed maybe wrongly that you got 40%.
And as for the straw man comment you did preface and end your posts with negative inferences about the Giants. That would give any reader an impression that it is an anti Giants post. Whether they are your views or not you were happy enough to create the impression that what was a positive gesture from the Giants was in reality anything but.

| To get back to the original post, i find it difficult to see anything else but a loss this weekend but never say it's a done deal, as long as we come away with no injuries i will be satisfied.

I think people would have thought rather better of you had you simply said something like: "Apologies, I based my statement on what appears to be incorrect information, and thank you for confirming the actual amount involved", but never mind. I think our readers are clear now.

I tell you what i will issue that EXACT apology when you apologise for dressing up a positive gesture from the Giants re giving the bulls money in a crisis situation with two negative and anti Giants comments.
Somehow i doubt you will do that so the readers can make up their own mind up.
