Quote: Gi4nts "Most of the other clubs struggled cos they can't/couldnt get fans thru the doors not cos they chased the dream, tasted the glory and then it went belly up as in the Bulls case.'"

There was an element having "tasted the glory" which didn't help in the Bull's case. The fact that we'd been so successful did cause a number of fans to be totally unrealistic when the club hit the inevitable downward spiral, pace the number of fans on here with their posts about, "We shouldn't have such poor players as ???? in the team 'cos we're the Bulls", or "It's a disgrace that we're losing to teams like XXXX", etc etc, and ridiculous as the posts were it, there's little doubt it did put the people in charge under pressure.

Getting fans through the door is only one way of raising finance though, as most clubs know only too well, but we never found that elusive backer either.

Although it may not seem like it to you guys, particularly early on when the vultures seemed to be circling, but given the speculation about every other teams players, there appears to be very little about Bradford's, especially given that so many are off contract.

OK the Bateman speculation has always been in the background and there is the occasional claim from a club that they have signed one of your lads, but no serious stuff, as we have had about Holdsworth going to Hull, Blake Green going to Wigan etc and all the palaver about Chase going to Hull prior to the deadline.

In a strange way your squad seems to be treated with a bit more respect, well at least in public. It may well be that all sorts of deals have been done with your OOC players, but at least they seem to be under wraps.

No doubt all linked with the wider uncertainty about what the future holds for the Club itself.

I'd expect that all the player's agents would have some sort of deal set up. They would be failing in their duty to the player otherwise, nor could you blame them, they have families and mortgages and bills coming in like everyone else. The players and staff (who are working for nothing) at Odsal are total heroes for me and some of the very few to come out of this debacle with credit.

£500k was the deal from Warrington to take Bateman & Whitehead. Would certainly help the cashflow situation. I'm not 100% if the deal went through, but it was a straight forward transfer fee.

Quote: JUDGE666 "So the Giants are not chasing the dream? as in actually winning some silverware... and by the way you lot still can't get the fans "thru the doors"'"

Of course the Giants are chasing silverware and as we don't get the fans we are fortunate that we have one of the best men ever out there in Sir Ken Davy, who backs us to the hilt.

However he is a shrewd business man and will not spend money that he doesn't have or isn't a good investment, he also doesn't cheat and spend above the cap.

Bradford on the other hand are now suffering the consequenses

Thats a big number, if true, in the present climate, the sort of deal many clubs could not afford to turn down let alone a Club in Administration!

Time like this really show who the fans of other clubs of moral integrity and substance are.

And those who have the moral integrity of something that crawls along the bottom of the pond.

To the former - we salute you.

To the latter - may you rot.

Ever thought of changing your paper to something a bit more sensible?

Bateman is having you all on. He's signed for the wolves
Way way back but he's keeping in with the bulld fans by keep dribbling on
About loving Bradford, wanting to stay. He knows how to play the game!

That can't be true. There are rules about when you can speak to contracted players and they are utterly sacrosanct within the game.

Cash flow isn't a problem.
