Strict new rules they are discussing whether to implement or not. Don't sound that strict to me. Or maybe it depends on the club being considered.

| Given all the talk this year from chairmen about wanting a change in the league and a reduction of teams. Then this development would provide those chairmen with the vehicle to have the league they want.
It would also allow some teams to sure themselves up financially.
Whilst Bradford adds to the league in overall numbers of fans. The impact that has on other clubs other than Bradford is variable.
Does extra sky money out weigh the extra attendances that Bradford may bring to local teams?
For a team like my own Saints. Bradford's away fans may impact with smaller local clubs, but carry little impact on the Saints home crowds, so it would not be a major incentive for MacManus when considering which way to vote. He too has expressed (before the bradford collapse) that a smaller league would be desirable.
Leeds well who knows which way they would go, you would assume that being local rivals they would want the sellout derby, however they have very big crowds with or without Bradford so it may be more of an issue as to what Hetherington thinks of the new owners.
In the end though whether Bradford are kept in or ejected. It maybe more short term than anything else. Lets say Bradford are voted out. If the Bradford fans keep the faith and turn up in numbers in the lower divisions, they will dominate and start to pull in big profits with the cap on player wages verses the income through the gate.
Then come the next round of licences, the SL will have a reduced number of teams that some have expressed a desire for. But Bradford could well be in a position to replace one of those who voted to eject it.
I'm not a fan of reduced numbers in SL, but I can see those who favour it taking this as an oppertunity.

| Hmm okay I may have been wrong on a few things and I apologize but the majority of what I said I stand by. I meant taking the p*ss building the new stadium.
I don't understand how people think that just because the RFL own the lease for Odsal, means that we will still be in SL. The RFL could easily sell the lease to the council for a bit of money and the coucil could use Odsal as a landfill site

| If the final decison lies with the RFL then what's the point of a vote?

Fair enough, but we're really not extracting the urine about the stadium at all. In fact, the work that has been put in to jump through all the planning legislation hoops has been outstanding. It's a near impossible task to build a new stadium in these economic climes. It was not the club's fault that it was called in for PI. That hurdle is now passed and the next few are now in hand.
Bradford's position will have no influence on Wakefield's licence. If the stadium is being built at the time of the next period, we will get one, if not, we won't. Simples. The current stadium was grade C, when assessed, but has now been improved and, with the added cover, is now grade B.
I doubt Mr. Glover would vote against Bradford as I believe he sees the bigger picture, beyond petty rivalries and politics. He, and the club, will stand or fall on their own achievements.
Who knows what the future holds for the bulls? Recent developments are looking more positive, so best of luck. (Although I don't think you did us any favours beating the pies last week. It's gonna be tough on Sunday.)
As regards Halifax's... grade C???
There is no p twke surrounding their efforts to build a new stadiun.
In fact, I would suggest that, far from taking the p, they have done absolutely everything they can to ensure that they will have a new stadium.
The delays which have occured since the franchises were handed out, were solely due the public inquiry being refered to the SoS, which isnt really the fault of the club, is it ?
Just because your club is in strife, this doesn't give you the right to spout nonsense about another SL club.
Wakefield have done everything asked of them by the RFL and i'm sure that we will continue to do so.

Never liked Kevin Costner, or any other Robbing Hood!!!!: |

| If the five clubs mentioned above are the ones that will vote against us being admitted to Superleague, they need to be very careful what they wish for!
SL will be loathe to run with an odd number, and have each round carry a bye. By their own reckoning, as of 12 months ago, there are no clubs ready to come up from the championship. So what do they do? They lose another club. Mcgoldrick's revelations in the paper today, Salford's supposed money problems, Londons questionable viability, all point to the RFL perhaps not steppping in so strongly as they have in assisting us should any one od them struggle ina similar way.
I cant see this vote goign against us, and even if it does, the RFL will veto it. Losing a club like salford or castleford, would be imo just as sad as losing Bradford, but to the game's reputation in the wider sporting world, losing them would be much better than losing a club that's won the competition 4 times in the last 15 years!

Almost certainly not.
Equally, when some of those who now have or are getting new stadia criticise the Bulls for not being in such a fortunate position, they might do well to recall that the reason we ended up not having a new stadium was because the proposals were called in by the then-SoS. Which wasn't really the fault of OUR club either, was it?

Going forward, the extent to which we can depend on the goodwill of the other clubs could depend pretty heavily on how those who eventually end up in control of the club choose to engage with their peers?

| cant see a problem with the other clubs even if they got a majority vote against bradford, the RFL would veto it as they have already made their bed by splashing out a fortune for the lease on Odsal. It would look really bad on them if they ended up with no club playing there and paying the market value rent. Bradford in some form or another will be in super league.
