Ross went on BCB for five minutes, but NEVER said the club is heading for administration.

| Quote: paulwalker71 "I heard the interview and, to be absolutely accurate he did not say the Administration was a 'certainty' - although he did say that it was still a strong possibility. And he did say that he'd heard rumours that the debt was higher than the £1.25 million that Coulby stated.
It seemed odd when the various sources, including the T&A today, said that we weren't going into Administration and that we would be hearing good news in the next few days.
I'd be surprised if the 'official' T&A guy would be trash talking, even if it only was BCB.
Very worrying'"
Coulby NEVER stated the debt was £1.25m.
I expect there to be no debt, just the tax liabilities where we appear to have agreed time to pay, and normal creditors.
He stated that the cash requirement was £1.25m, IIRC. Or at least suggested it was.
Not the same thing.
The cash requirement will almost certainly be because income is much less than expenditure, certainly in cash timing terms if not necessarily in terms of how it reflects in the profit and loss account. Its cash needed mainly to pay off future costs not debts accumulated in the past.
I think people need to be careful not to get the two confused, as almost all the sports hacks do. The problem to me is less one of debt inherited from the past, financially, and more one of serious lack of income going forward.
Which is why I keep saying administration would solve nothing beyond getting rid of inconvenient shareholders, albeit an essential objective soehow if we are ever to end the ongoing infighting, and would create a huge load of future problems. Administration is a way out of being unable to pay past debts; it does not of itself resolve ongoing shortfalls in income.
Remember: debt = paying off the past. What we would seem to be suffering from instead is lack of future assured income.

+/- excessive expenditure .
Plan will have to be further costcutting (if possible) and getting more out of existing income streams (tickets) and finding new income streams (that's what both boards , old & new have been doing for months)

| Apparently recruiting new staff as well which wouldn't be happening if admin was on cards. Just need an official statement now.

| With the greatest respect to Mr. Heptenstall he is a journalist with newspapers to sell. Chill out everyone, Adeybull is spot on there is little point of an administration arrangement when there is no requirement for protection from creditors we don't have.
No admin, no players being sold, all staff jobs safe, all to be revealed soon.
The benefactor will surprise you all too

| Uncle Ken?
I really hope so!
Looking more and more likely positive news, and just at the right time, contracts signing time!
Someone said he wouldn't support either City or Bulls because he couldn't pick just one...
Seems to be a bit of money being spent at City with a couple of the recent signings and rumoured future ones.. they said because they had sold the offices, but that was the joint Chairman's money anyway..
maybe just maybe there are 'more reasons'...

From what I've heard, Mr Coulby wasn't quite as definitive as that in the staff/players update meeting.
I'm hopeful that all these things will come to pass but it's getting a bit repetitive (in total) - allowing for the fact that this is technically the first time Mr Coulby has made these promises since he came back onto the board.

| For those privvy to info, or those that think they are in the know, I have a question.
Is this a long term arrangement or just a one off gift to the club?
